Our letter, written as survivors, advocates, and family members of victims, calls on Anne Longfield to establish a dedicated website for the Grooming Gang Inquiry. Such a platform would ensure that victims and their advocates are placed at the centre of the inquiry and are able to play an active role in its development. It is essential that this inquiry is shaped by the lived experiences of those who endured these crimes. Survivors must have the opportunity to contribute openly and meaningfully, rather than having victims selectively included in ways that might suit a particular narrative. EXCL @GBNEWS: Some grooming gang victims are struggling to engage with the national inquiry team as it prepares to finalise its terms of reference. The inquiry has been frustrated in Wales as it cannot identify an organisation to liaise with and support victims in the country.

Today I finished my journey fighting for justice for the little girl I used to be 💪👊🏻I’m also waiving my rights to anonymity again 11 years ago I gave my first ever video interview about what happened to me with the Rotherham grooming gangs it’s been one long road but I’m happy I can finally say I’ve got justice 💪👊🏻 The last 2 years I’ve been involved 3 trials at Sheffield crown court and today I finished my last trial and secured 125 years justice ….. I will be mentioning more about the last 2 trials over the coming days and what I’ve had to go through to get the justice I deserved….. Today riyasth Hussain was handed a 20 year jail sentence for the rapes he did when I was 13 years old I stared him in the face as I read my own victim impact statement out ….. I’m so proud of what I’ve done and I have taken 7 seriously dangerous men of the streets my only regret is not been able to do it sooner …. I can’t thank the national crime agency enough especially my contact officer he’s one of a kind and the best at what he does 🙌🏻 These are the 7 men I’ve put behind bars in 2 years 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻 Please bare with me I’ve a lot to share about my case and also fight for Laura’s truth thank you all for your continued support 💪👊🏻 I AM YOUR KARMA !!!

Today we’re publishing the full trial transcripts of Fiona Goddard (@fionagoddarduk). Available to read now on transcripts.openjusticeuk.org. This is a landmark moment, the first publication of much of a full trial transcript in modern British legal history. There are sections redacted that fall broadly into three areas: -Discussion of Victim B, who had an allegation against one of the men and has not waived her anonymity in the way Fiona has. -Discussions of admissibility of evidence that wasn’t used, & discussions about personal details that were spoken when the jury wasn’t present. -Discussions amongst the legal counsel of other cases or things not pertaining to this case. The general approach was to publish everything that was said while the jury was sitting, and legal discussions around precedent and process that didn’t deal with personal information while the jury was absent. We think it’s an incredible insight into how trials, particularly grooming trials are conducted.
