Good observations @JustJaySuggs the other thing I would offer is the original intent of the top 60 workout was give coaches the opportunity to watch kids compete against each other for roster spots on the All Star teams. I wasn't there, so I don't know if that was a factor or not

(1) Parents get kids crossed off recruiting lists quicker than kids do themselves. A negative action by a recruit, depending on the severity of it, will often still draw a second look. Actions by parents at and in between games typically end in a line through their kid’s name.
