🚨 BREAKING: President Trump announces the US is ON THE VERGE of 100% completing the Iran war, and that America will NOT be responsible for securing the Strait of Hormuz once it's won "We are getting very close to meeting our objectives as we consider WINDING DOWN our great Military efforts..." NO FREE RIDES! "The Hormuz Strait will have to be guarded and policed, as necessary, by other Nations who use it — The United States does not!" "If asked, we will help these Countries in their Hormuz efforts, but it shouldn’t be necessary once Iran’s threat is eradicated. Importantly, it will be an easy Military Operation for them."

The Strait of Hormuz was supposed to end Trump’s presidency. Iran blocked it. Oil spiked. Gas prices surged. The plan was simple… crush the American worker with inflation until the political pressure forced a retreat. But the trap inverted. The oil market has fractured into two tiers. $100 in America. $150 in Asia. China, India, Japan, South Korea… the nations that refused to send warships when Trump asked… are now paying 50% more per barrel than the country that launched the war. Demand destruction has started across Asia. Schools closing. Workers sent home. Petrol pumps running dry in Southeast Asia. Meanwhile American refineries are actually increasing output, running on light sweet crude that never touches Hormuz. Trump told them to help open the Strait. Every single one refused. NATO said it wasn’t their war. China negotiated selective passage from a destroyed regime. Japan declined. Australia declined. Now the Strait is doing to them what it was designed to do to Trump.

What have I been saying for three weeks?! (Yes three) IDC what the price of oil climbs to, as long as it remains global. The real danger is it starts to fracture between nations and regions.

We almost witnessed another Dustin Pedroia catastrophe in the WBC. Thank God Brice Turang fumbled this ball. Manny Machado almost took out another player on a spikes up hard slide past second base. Can’t say I’m shocked.

The Strait of Hormuz carries ~20% of global oil and LNG. After US/Israeli strikes on Iran from Feb 28 and Iranian retaliation (vessel attacks/threats), tanker traffic plunged 70-90%, with most ships halted or waiting outside. This US-sanctioned (Feb 25) Iranian shadow fleet LPG carrier, Danuta I, still transited laden outbound March 5—showing covert Iranian export routes remain active despite the near-shutdown for normal shipping.

This is a significant development. The Liquidied Petroleum Gas careier Danuta I - 80k cubic meters - ran the Strait last night, outbound and laden.

Sanctioned LPG tanker transits Strait of Hormuz The LPG tanker Danuta I has transited the Strait of Hormuz amid sharply reduced vessel movements in the region following recent tensions. According to #MarineTraffic data, the LPG carrier departed Dubai Anchorage on 27 February at 15:23 UTC and is currently sailing toward Khor Fakkan, United Arab Emirates. The 225-metre tanker is underway at around 12.3 knots with a reported draught of 12 metres, indicating the vessel is laden. MarineTraffic compliance data shows the vessel was sanctioned by the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on 25 February 2026. The transit comes as vessel traffic through the Strait remains significantly below normal levels, with many ships slowing, diverting, or waiting outside the waterway amid heightened security concerns.

@emilyjashinsky If the technology is there, hypothetically solar makes sense. It is progressing but far from an ideal technology right now.

There is absolutely a conservative argument for solar. Only complication is the grid system. Solar should be a tool for personal independence, not total government control. It's a fine line!
Katie Miller@KatieMiller

Solar is increasingly indispensable to America’s bid to dominate AI. In 2025 China produced 1.17 million gigawatt-hours of electricity from solar power in 2025, up 40% on a year earlier. Rapidly scaling solar energy is a national security issue.

@usmntonly Food for thought. Why do they need 625 million of federal tax payer money for security? Host cities can plan this in their own budget. Certainly the potential profits outweigh the security costs. Maybe local business should pull the money together?

@blancocito11 @11Yanks I could not agree more. I think we should tread lightly but the net positives outweigh negatives across all income levels. People need to embrace and adapt. Such a crazy opportunity right now for the people at the lower end of society to make it big.

@11Yanks incorrect. you don't even know how this will affect energy production and price. and you are very far away from knowing the net for human flourishing. for all you know AI server farms could cure childhood cancer.

Humans aren't production machines that you have to put energy into so they serve the wealth accumulation strategies of the ruling class. This guy and anyone like him can go fuck themselves.

These stats are fake bcz the definition of "left" & "right" are arbitrary & nonsensical. Anderson Lee Aldrich described himself as "non-binary" yet this fake study calls him "right-wing". Cato claims Thomas Crooks' attempted assassination of Trump wasn't politically motivated. They call Douglas Uhde "right-wing" but his killing was clearly not politically motivated as he was seeking vengence against those who put him in prison & he had Mitch McConnell on his hit list.

The risk of being killed in a politically motivated attack in the US is low, a Cato study shows. Excluding 9/11 and the Oklahoma City bombing, most deaths come from right-wing attackers, followed by Islamists, and then left-wing attackers. ow.ly/3HEG50Yic9x
