@bteezer27 @two3oh2 @JackMac You have a fundamental flaw in understanding seeding if you think they were ‘absolutely’ a 15 that year. They already beat 2nd seeded Miami earlier in the year. That in and of itself should’ve been enough to put them at 13 when comparing all those teams

As you realize the college sports you grew up with doesn’t exist anymore, it hits you that it may have all been a facade. The reason these teams below existed was largely to players being exploited with no ability to make money & punished for transferring. NIL introduced….cream rises to the top. In 2012 a guy who fell through the cracks in recruiting would spend 4 years at a mid major and develop there…not anymore. 80% of those players trickle up to make the major conference teams that were losing in 2008 better in 2026. College sports was prob better in 2010 but it was due to a model that unequivocally ripped off athletes. I am open to being wrong here, but the game has changed forever and what we watched years ago was fake.

@CBKReport Should’ve been a 14 over Penn at the very least, but I don’t think it would’ve been much different a result. But splitting hairs really down the 12-16’s. I think it would’ve helped at least make those matchups be more in touch to create some drama though.

@KenSlackBledsoe A simple way to alleviate your confusion is to take the 68 teams and make your own seedings. Then take a blank bracket and try to fill in matchups accordingly. Try to avoid potential rematches in second round and you’ll see it’s a little easier to flex seedings when it’s close.

I just don't get the 4 seed. UF is a 1. Arkansas has 26 wins, just like UF, in the same SEC, while playing a tougher non-con. They are 15-4 in SEC games, Ark is 16-5. Arkansas won the SEC tourny, & was 2nd in the Reg season. Make it make sense.1st Team All-American, SEC POTY too.
