U.S. President Donald J. Trump wants no more strikes on Iranian energy sites after Wednesday’s attack by Israel on a natural gas processing plant serving Iran’s South Pars Offshore Gas Field, which was known about and supported by President Trump, U.S. officials tell the Wall Street Journal.
President Trump supported today’s strikes as a message to Tehran over its attempts to block the Strait of Hormuz, but believes Iran got the message and is now against attacks on Iranian energy infrastructure, the officials said. But Trump could once again be open to targeting more Iranian energy facilities depending on Tehran's future actions in the Strait.
