Just watched all the Palantir DevCon 5 youtube videos...
@hyperindexed started by talking about why coding agents are so good rn: (1) transmission of context, (2) clear validation, (3) optimization with feedback
He basically made the argument that the reason enterprise isn't seeing the same AI/agentic diffusion as SWE is because of those problems. The Ontology (all the business context/data, and logic on how things work in one place) seems pretty useful for fixing this if businesses actually adopt it in full.
AI FDE can now make AIP logic (LLM) functions and evals. It can also make workshop (frontend app) modules. Will probably be important for $PLTR to keep scaling while keeping headcount low... Customers can figure more stuff out on their own, and human FDEs are just better now.
New Foundry CLI built in rust uses embedded Ontology to run stuff straight on your laptop (or wherever).
New product(?): AI Hivemind. Basically, what the name sounds like, agent swarming. This demo was cool because they gave a USG/DoW use case. Interestingly, it's built fully on Foundry itself.
