@Coventry_City good morning, sorry to bother with fixture questions. Do you know when Wrexham date/ kick off will be announced? I thought it was for weeks prior to game , just want to sort Daughters travel arrangements. Many thanks

I’ve been critical of Michael Vaughan chasing headlines and trying to manufacture clickbait quotes. I think he’s tarnished his 2005 legacy a bit by doing that. I’m one of many fans that he’s blocked. But, having said all that, credit where it’s due. Having listened to him on the TMS podcast and his own pod today, he sounds a lot more competent and capable than Rob Key. He clearly has a vision for England. He is a proven performer. I don’t think he would take any crap. He might even knock a few heads together. Would you like to see him take over from Key?

@patmurphybbc @ECB_cricket Hi Pat ,I’m struggling with all the outrage re last ashes even if you take out Covid hampered series, 13/14 5-0 then 17/18 4-0 even further back, 02/03 4-1 and 06/07 5-0 again, with the exception of 10/11 it’s the same story, and surely it was all about regaining the ashes then.

And that @ECB_cricket squad & management in Oz 21/22 were bedevilled by the unprecedented restrictions due to Covid. Nightmare tour, administratively. Plus injuries to key players. Just one long slog. This recent shambles has no such excuse. It was all about regaining the Ashes.
Stewart Hawtin@HawtinStewart

@patmurphybbc @ECB_cricket Well said Pat. The old pals act has been going on since Key was appointed. And he comments after being interviewed by his mates on Sky yesterday just sums it all up. It was abject failure in Australia and in any other business you’d be sacked or you’d resign. It’s crazy.

@EfcWorcester @FBAwayDays He didn’t need to come out and confirm it at all, as we all knew it would happen, it’s only a “story” because the local radio ridiculously asked him if he would honour it in an interview.

@FBAwayDays It's not a "brilliant gesture" at all. They sold this package & if they didn't honour it, they'd be absolute c*nts to back out & shaft those fans. Owner getting praised for finally coming out to confirm the offer still stands is dumb, it should never, ever have been in doubt.

Coventry City owner Doug King has confirmed in a recent BBC interview that the club will fully honor the special Premier League package purchased by fans back in 2023. That package locked in frozen ticket prices for five years and included a key promise: if the Sky Blues achieved promotion to the Premier League within those five seasons, buyers would receive a free season ticket for the club's first year in the top flight. With Coventry now on the brink of promotion, the club has officially confirmed that eligible fans from the 2023 package will indeed get their free Premier League season tickets next season. With the price of away tickets capped at £30, that means they’ll technically be able to see every single game next season, home and away, for just £570. 😍 What a brilliant gesture to reward the 5,000 loyal supporters who backed the club early! 👏

@hullcity_pfa @WeAreTheFSA @EFL So it’s not a straightforward, why does club A charge £24 and club B say £38 . It’s very easy to over simplify and cap prices. Our owner has invested heavily ( in normal terms) but has always said does not have unlimited resources.

@hullcity_pfa @WeAreTheFSA @EFL Whilst I agree with your sentiment, ticket revenue is a tiny percentage of overall revenue so the £30 cap is easy to achieve for premier clubs. Whereas, I am sure you are aware makes up around 25% and higher for championship clubs. Also every club has different financial needs .

11 Championship clubs have charged some or all clubs over £30 this season. Away tickets are capped at £30 in the premier league. Time for @WeAreTheFSA and @EFL to put an end to prices of £38 at Sheff Utd, Ipswich QPR and similar at Watford Norwich etc

@Rossi16_ @BBCSportWales I’m sure you don’t but I was simply replying to your O’Hare remark which was a stand alone case , I just didn’t realise Grimes left under cloud that’s all, so found the booing of him a little odd. Mind you, I’ve still not forgiven Dublin for shafting us in the late 90’s 😂😂

@Rossi16_ @BBCSportWales With the greatest of respect he didn’t give us ten year’s service , walked away on a free after a year out and bad mouthed the club / manager when he left , so your poor attempt at an analogy is somewhat flawed, but thanks for your input.Hamer gets a great reception every time .

Anyone else watching the Prem games, and imagining our current players playing against them, hopefully next season, and thinking what we we may need to add to our squad (just me then) #PUSB #Coventrycityfc

Nah fuck it. We are up. I’m in tears. I didn’t think I’d see this; but to share it with my parents and my kids after 25 years of it getting worse and worse. We’ve earned this. Every single one of us. I love my club #pusb
