@Dr_Gingerballs Can your data be accessed through an API? I’m not seeing mention of it in the documentation (excellent docs btw, very detailed!)

I am not a good trader. Impulsive. Emotional. Greedy.
But I have looked at options data for about 5 years now probably about 15-20 hours a week. I like mechanics of complex systems, and this is one of the biggest you can find.
You better believe when I saw this setup I grabbed puts on $SPX. Opened them around the beginning of the year and held until today. Sold some, left runners. The bet was short vol would crack eventually. It started cracking today, but this can keep going.
My approach to data is always asking “what does this tell me about participant positioning?” Traditional indicators like MACD and RSI, or quite frankly most indicators on the market, are mostly worthless because they tell you nothing about expectations and positioning.
If you know positioning, you can look for weaknesses. I knew that short vol had grown substantially over the last few years, and I saw them under more pressure than they’ve ever been without cracking. So I made a bet that this time they would crack. It worked out.
Again, I’m not a good trader, but there is so much rich information in the data out there. Why I helped build @GammaStr1ke . Everyday I want to see how much more information we can cleverly glean from the firehose of data out there.
It’s basically provided at cost as a labor of love so that we can maintain the infrastructure to run it (10 second updates with full options time and sales is intense!) and to pay contractors for some of the pieces we can’t make ourselves. All calculations are done in house from the raw exchange data feeds. No second hand calculations, not even from calcs from CBOE! We want to own all of the calcs end to end so we can have full control over what assumptions and models we make.
Some of the things I have been teasing are pretty incredible in R&D environments, and they are based on models we developed ourselves (we have not seen equivalent models in public). It will be cool to deploy so we can run them live (they are very expensive to run).
Anyway, just wanted to promote this, because I think a lot of option traders will appreciate both the quality of the data as well as the execution. Our current cohort of users are quite happy with the service, and of course we are too.

This data has been haunting me. Never have I seen the market this loaded into puts with so little price drop. Held up by a teeny pile of short dated short vol. [Insert Cheeto holding door closed meme here.]

Just doing things @bulktrade
I've never been more excited to lose my entire portfolio over the span of the next few minutes. Or double it. Who knows?!

@maybeltr If you’re looking for a modern value play, may I suggest to you the Pastasaurus

An interesting thought exercise is that if the SC were to strike down tariffs, would the Fed immediately begin cutting rates? According to their logic of tariffs being inflationary, they should. However, if your reaction, like mine, is not so fast because no tariffs would be positive for demand and growth, then it introduces some conflict with how the Fed has treated the situation over the last few months.
