@XDarthThunderX We were beyond excited -- and then we left the theaters lying to ourselves about how good it was. It was Star Wars ---- so we felt it *had* to be good, and were perhaps missing something. By Attack of the Clones it's safe to say we knew there was a disturbance in the Force.

Seeing all of the positive reactions to The Phantom Menace back in 1999 really does sum up how the media, for the most part was the main culprit for the "hate" the film received.

RIP to James Tolkan: Back to the Future, Top Gun, and Masters of the Universe icon. Seemingly bald since birth, like Savalis and Brynner. I've now joined the ranks. Below is perhaps Tolkan's replacement for any BTTF prequels? Ran into this dude in Roc years ago and dug this up:
