As someone who runs an account with a name very close to the exact name referenced in this piece, there is no way to read this other than as a direct attack The amount of money, time, and energy I have given the Fever over the last couple of years has been incalculable. I've flown to both coasts and to cities in between to go to Fever games. I've spent thousands on jerseys - not just Caitlin's but other Fever players. I've taught myself how to do YouTube and frequently stay up until 3am editing because that's literally the only time I can do it. I've made no secret of the fact that I am a Caitlin fan first and that if the day ever comes that she leaves the team, I will go with her. But so long as she is on the team, I will root for the Fever with everything I have. To call me "not a Fever fan" is not only ridiculous, it is insulting. To be called this by a member of the Indy press is shocking. Meanwhile, this article's writer got himself banned from the Fever's media room literally the first time Caitlin ever wore a Fever jersey by being completely inappropriate towards her. To this day she never does her "heart hands" celebration as a direct result of his line of questioning. To be lectured about the appropriate way to be a Caitlin fan or a Fever fan by him of all people is laughable. Finally, I was never "furious" about that ESPN article. I thought it was laughable and ridiculous. I said so. That falls well outside the bounds of "furious" or "inappropriate" Similarly I am not furious at this article. I am shocked. I am disappointed. And I do think it is inappropriate. But on the part of this author, not on me
