for anyone that follows me here, this is my backup for @ccnameisfriday. I am more active there and I have more threads about Zionism and Palestine pinned there

Unexpected (but predictable) plot twist: the arson attack on Brandenburg “antisemitism commissioner” Andreas Büttner, including the anti-Zionist graffiti on his house, was most likely the work of two pro-Israel business partners and friends half his age.sueddeutsche.de/panorama/antis…

I’ll never let the world forget how Gazans kidnapped an 8-month-old baby from his home and strangled him to death in a dark underground tunnel in Gaza alongside his mother and brother. Kfir Bibas, forever in our hearts.

Golders Green is my local high street. It’s a great area, full of different cultures. It’s a predominantly Jewish area and it’s a privilege as a non-Jew to live alongside such a warm and friendly community. Since October 7th, there has been a visible increase in hostility towards the Jewish community. ‘Missing’ posters of relatives were torn down. Yellow ribbons removed from railings. ‘From the River to the Sea’ stickers plastered on lampposts. Verbal abuse in the street. I’ve seen the fear grow in Jewish friends and neighbours, driven by political activists who have revelled in creating that fear. Enabled by others who are indifferent to the impact of their political bedfellows. I hope they now appreciate the awful impact of their behaviour. Saying ‘globalise the intifada’ isn’t just something that immediately identifies you as a dickhead, it is also a form of incitement. If you say it, you are deliberately intimidating Jewish people. Stop it, it’s vile.

Zionist, but make it fluffy 🇮🇱✨

If you're not seeing the Jewish supremacism, you aren't paying attention. Thousands of people are victims of crime every day. But somehow only the Jewish victims are Chosen for news coverage.

This is straight up David Duke Goebels level hate speech from a Regressive Democrat.

Two weeks ago, an IDF soldier desecrated a statue of Jesus. Within 48 hours, the political establishment of Israel condemned it, and jailed the soldier. There were hundreds of thousands of posts. Today, 29 Christians were massacred by Islamists in Nigeria. Not a word. Weird.

We have reached the point where evidence of antisemitism is now widely viewed as proof that there is no antisemitism. Just watch the replies to this story.

We are deeply disappointed by Mayor Mamdani’s (@NYCMayor) veto of legislation designed to help protect students from intimidation and disruption outside schools. Students should be able to enter their place of learning freely, safely, and without fear. The right to protest and the right to an education can and must coexist. We urge the City Council to override this veto and reaffirm a basic principle: protecting students is not politics; it is a civic responsibility. #Mamdani #ProtectStudents

@ccnameisfriday @BrownNaila @MaxBlumenthal @PsychicHygiene Amazing really, i'v helped people who had stokes, It's totally devastating & this guy want's even more people to attack him? & what actual harm has he done? To anyone? It's as if actual harm done doesn't matter & they're in fact willing to inflict more on someone who did zero.

If your strongest argument for censoring anti-Israel speech begins with the words "It makes Jewish people feel," then your argument isn't strong enough to be taken seriously. We're talking about genocide, apartheid, ethnic cleansing and nonstop wars here. Feelings take a backseat to these issues — even the feelings of people who strongly believe their feelings matter more than human lives. Feeling uncomfortable feelings is fine and normal. We're all supposed to feel uncomfortable feelings from time to time, especially when terrible things are happening. I myself have been feeling many uncomfortable feelings while scrolling my social media feed since October 2023, but I don't feel entitled enough to believe laws should be passed and the internet should be censored in order to shelter me from experiencing those feelings. Suck it up, buttercup. These are conversations that need to be had.
