I have lived in Japan for 28 years. I get my haircut once a month. So I have visited various barbershops approximately 336 times.
Every time the barber washes my hair, they ask me if I have any itchy spots. (痒い所はないですか？) I have never yet had an itchy spot. Not even once.
I dream that one day, I will actually have an itchy spot so I can find out exactly what Japanese barbers do about it. I’m sure they have an ingenious remedy for an itchy scalp.
No spoilers please. I want to find out for myself!
