This price just looks wrong… Derek Cornelius 1+ Shots (-160) Derek Cornelius 2+ Shots (+350) Cornelius is Canada’s primary free kick taker when Alphonso Davies doesn’t play and Davies has been ruled out of this game. Canada win a huge amount of fouls, drawing 14+ in 11 straight games which obviously provides shooting opportunities from free kicks. Bosnia also averaged 14.7 fouls committed per game in qualifying. In their last warm up game vs Ireland, Cornelius had 3 shots, two of those came from free kicks. But he isn't only reliant on free kicks. Cornelius is also a threat from set pieces, standing at 6ft 2 tall and Canada’s style of play tends to lead to a lot of corners - averaging 9.6 per game across their last five games.

@Lt_Spirit65 @KoreyL_ME28 @IndyCar Could also have been Rule 9.3.1 regarding improper conduct and nothing to do with the 14.7.6.1 or 4. Race damage could also explain it, but there was no mention of improper conduct/intentional acts/cheating. 0ne thing I do appreciate about CGR is they are good with no scandals.

NEWS: INDYCAR Officiating has issued a post-race technical inspection penalty to the No. 10 Chip Ganassi Racing entry following the Indy 500 for violating speedway front wing end plate height requirements. The entry has been penalized five championship driver and entrant points and the team has been fined $10,000.

@bobpockrass That command has always been given by someone from the ownership group of the facility or the owner themselves. Roger Penske has done it since taking ownership. That won't change anytime soon.

They do use "drivers start your engines" but my guess is that will be Roger Penske or someone else. The grand marshal role for Indy 500 gives the command for the drivers to get in their cars.

This is correct. Rossi starts 2nd in the race, even in a backup car. Any other driver in a 20 car would start 31st.

@jakequery was listening to show. Do not believe cars goto back of field anymore if it’s a backup. Only a driver change causes that.

Briscoe hadn’t run earlier that season or attempted to qualify for the 500 — hence the refresher need. Callum Ilott would seem to be the modern comparison (or Devlin or Shwartzman). 2023 Indy NXT runner-up Hunter McElrea is ECR’s reserve but has no IMS oval experience.

Saying the below while we do not know of Rossi’s condition, so could be moot: Hinchcliffe crashed the Monday after qualifying the week of the 2015 Indy 500 & was ruled out. Series officials granted Ryan Briscoe a special 1-hour test Thursday to complete a refresher test.
