In an article published today following his private audience with Pope Leo XIV, British financial journalist Gareth Gore—author of “Opus [Dei]: dark money, a secretive cult, and its mission to remake our world”— says it was the Pope who requested the meeting. Gore writes that a Peruvian journalist contacted him several weeks ago saying Pope Leo XIV “was well aware” of his work on Opus Dei and “was keen to speak” with him.
