We’re back for home learning! Yesterday the children created their own symbols in RE, including things which were important to them.

Year 5 have been using Talk for Writing this week in English. They’ve loved learning a motivational speech using actions and story maps.

Today in RE, year 5 discussed the meaning and purpose of various Christmas carols and had a go at writing their own! ✝️💫

In RE we learnt about the theology associated with Christmas and the differences between Matthew and Luke’s accounts.

Today in maths we looked at square numbers. We learnt the symbol for squared and showed square numbers using counters and arrays.

In English we’ve spent some time looking at the key features and language used in newspaper articles.

Year 5 have had a great first week back! In Maths we’ve started our new unit of Multiplication and Division and have been practising our times tables ➗✖️
