@PacoOnPause Not so niche. I have seen 5 instances of this lately: "unbiased" scipod, Olympic know-nothing couple, UK long covid org, polybio... "Your local epidemiologist" also abuses data to minimize. Audience capture with a side order of not understanding science.

I started jotting a skit last week about people who built their platforms by warning others about covid, who don't want to mask anymore. And I think I have to make this video. It'll be niche but I don't care.

The single deadliest event in all of American history happened just five years ago, and for millions of people, the only thing worth remembering is that they were personally inconvenienced by the safety measures. Absolutely wretched, soulless country.

Very few democrats are going the right lane: it’s illegal to invade a country, abduct its leaders (legitimate or otherwise) and murder citizens. The reason doesn’t matter. How bad the leader is doesn’t matter (if it did then the US deserved to be invaded and have every president for the last 200 years snatched up).

Nicolás Maduro is an illegitimate leader who has inflicted hardship on the people of Venezuela. I hope this moment leads to a real democratic transition driven by the Venezuelan people. But the decision to launch military strikes without congressional input, support, or authorization is deeply concerning and illegal. President Trump has failed to present a clear and credible strategy for governance or democratic transition in Venezuela. He is drawing our nation into another open-ended conflict and risking a repeat of failed nation-building efforts. The Administration must brief Congress immediately. As a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, I expect both committees to hold prompt and thorough briefings.

We built entire guidelines around blood pressure & cholesterol. We obsess over aspirin indications & doses in celebrities. But a virus that causes heart attacks,strokes &blood clots for years? No cardiovascular screening or prevention. No public guidance. Make it make sense.

Take 5 creative people and 5 randomly chosen people, here on X and have them all create something they think is creative. Something they truly appreciate. I promise you that almost every time the creatives will do work that is far more appealing. IMO, genAI don’t sterilize or homogenize output. It’s a new way of creating. Everyone will decide their own path. But again, IMO, those who experiment with genAI as a tool may find new paths to create what they love
