@ITVNewsPolitics @Nigel_Farage ADHD isn’t a trendy label
Neurodivergence is protected under the equality act which you want to get rid pf
We’re not victims
Work is not designed for neurodivergent brains
Especially when employers discriminate against us
What do you want, for us to be locked up?

'We're quick to label people with ADHD and many other problems and tell them they're victims'
@Nigel_Farage says Reform will tackle the issue of youth unemployment through 'cultural change' to encourage hard work
English

@NeilForPoole Agreed
However,
LCWRA should never have been cut
Being disabled is not an incentive to not work
We cannot work
New claimants lose over £2000 in a year but the so called inflation increase adds £24.85 a month
English

@TrisOsborneMP Great but
People still waiting months even years for specialist treatment or assessment
Local CFS clinic still closed to new referrals because of high demand
I can’t get assessed for a chronic condition
Been waiting months for mental health too and talking therapy rejected it

@NeilDotObrien Not reading all that
😒
Like I said earlier
This is just another way to attack disabled people and punch down
F off
Leave us alone!
English

@Katie_Lam_MP Oh great 🙄
Here’s another tool to attack disabled people and punch down
F off
You too @NeilDotObrien

This is an incredible piece of work.
Amazing detail and terrifying headlines: by 2029, we'll be spending £177bn on working age welfare. That could run our courts for nearly 80 years.
Some constituencies are getting half a billion in benefits a year. This cannot go on.

THE WELFARE ATLAS OF BRITAIN I have a new piece out, mapping welfare spending in Britain - from local authorities to individual neighbourhoods. (1/14)
English

Not differently abled
Not a trend
Not a statistic
Not a label
Not a victim
Just human who is autistic, with anxiety & depression & chronic pain, fatigue & migraines
Health & a nervous system that is unpredictable like the environment
Stress that causes illness

@SophieP25397 If they get rid of the equality act, no disabled person would be safe
We’ll be left with nothing 🫥
These 29% need to wake the f up

@cedgson91 @Helen_Barnard @LabourList @CatherineWest1 I'm surprised at Helen from Trussell Trust no less, for taking this spin face at face value. Cuts to welfare is false economics. Cuts create further poverty, that's a fact. Poverty cost society far more than can ever be saved by welfare cuts. Another fact.
English

@Carlynotcarley The whole story doesn’t sound too bad
The Liberal Democrats have called for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services in England to be designated as critical national infrastructure to stop vulnerable children being treated as "cash cows" by private investors.
English

@RachelReevesMP Benefits cut for disabled people 😳
Retail prices, bills still increasing
Nearly 7 million in deep material poverty
English

⬇️ Inflation down
⬇️ Interest rates down
⬇️ Borrowing down
⬆️ Retail sales up
⬆️ UK fastest growing European G7 economy
There's more to do, but our economic plan is the right one.

@Keir_Starmer Still excluding disabled people though
Nearly 50% cut to LCWRA
WE CAN’T WORK BECAUSE WE ARE DISABLED
Calling benefits a perverse incentive is disgraceful
Severe conditions criteria is too restrictive
Disabled people have living costs as well and many are already in poverty
