Microsoft should create a .Net code focus LLM with less than 7 Billion parameters to run on local machines. Other general code focus LLMs generate too many coding API errors to be productive. Code LLMs should be platform focused.

@kanwisher @willccbb It depends on what you mean by developer. The avg professional software coder needs a lot more speed. The TPS speed hurts a developer's productivity when coding. The researcher, different from developer, cares only about vram. But he is not coding with deadlines to meet.

@willccbb Most gaming gpus dont have enough vram to do any real AI work beyond some basic inference. You can also test out model clustering with the 100gb networking. I think it’s pretty decent dev machine if you build models not just run them

i have no clue who the DGX spark is for. it's a slower mac studio that technically runs CUDA; it has a bunch of unified memory, but not enough perf to do much with it; you could get a faster gaming rig that does all the same stuff for less money. but also it's pretty + i want one
