I flew alone all the time from 10-17 back and forth from Phoenix to Florida without issue. Its not that uncommon. They have staff that will watch you and take you to connecting flights, etc. Not once was did I ever feel unsafe. The flight attendants would check in on me all the time and I was the first off and on the planes. This was from 2000-2007.
