Our reception of a given work is determined by a myriad of factors and something as emotionally charged as death obviously contributes.

@_daddydisco Really controversial opinion that I know Im in the minority on but I think the original is severely overrated BECAUSE of Brandon Lee’s death. Without his tragic demise the film would be held up by only a fraction of the audience.
