I completed my @GWtweets Masters in International Policy and Practice coursework yesterday. It’s been a great opportunity to learn from the best. Our two-day annual CSO meeting has officially begun with speeches from Prof. Prempeh, WADEMOS Project Director, Ebenezer Asiedu of @ecowas_cedeao and @Bankole_Adeoye of the @_AfricanUnion. The keynote address was delivered by @cellasey, a democracy champion on the continent.

There are far too many unhealthy contentions, bickering and controversies lately in our democracy. APC Vs SLPP! APC Vs JUDICIARY! SLPP Vs International Election observers! Civil society Vs Each other! We can’t take this anymore Vs We have taken enough! In all of this, some MIGHT be winning but our democracy is not maturing. Democracy is about dialogue, negotiations and compromises. We can start with a healthy dialogue for the sake of the peace and growth of our country. Country before our personal wins. Nation above ego!

See you, Sierra Leone. I love you dearly. My country, my home.
