@cemerick Sometimes I really miss Berlin, even though it can be chaotic at times.

Day 23 in Berlin. Finally caved, bought a city-suitable bike, a KTM Veneto. It's uncomfortably different from what I'm used to, but the practicalities of city usage. It's OK, I'll adjust (and probably keep some knobbier tires on hand for trail outings). This place is beautiful.

All Europeans and the rest of the democratic world can do is batten down the hatches and buy time needed to develop self-reliance for a post-American world. Anti-Trump Americans can't just sit around waiting for an external deus ex machina to solve their Trump problem for them.

The EU, UK and Ukraine will pragmatically extract whatever arms and sanctions against Russia they can from Donald Trump rather than seeking confrontation with the US. Europeans are not going to solve America's Trump problem for anti-Trump Americans, only Americans can do that.
