University professor calls Muslim student a "terrorist" repeatedly during lecture Dr. Muralidhar Deshpande, a professor of PES University in Bangalore, called Muslim student Affan a "terrorist" at least 13 times during a lecture and abused him verbally. Some of the comments he made: "Iran war happened because of people like you" "Trump will take you away" "You are idiots, you will go to hell" These derogatory comments were made in front of about 60 students, creating an extremely hostile and humiliating environment. Some students who spoke in support of Affan were allegedly suspended, with the official reason given as "talking during class."
