This is the antithesis of feminism. It is a point of view that was suppressed for half a century. Now it is breaking out with a vengeance, while the feminists—some of them now in their eighties— watch in stunned silence.

FORMAL GOOD SHEPHERD STATEMENT ABOUT ISOM AND RIPPAVERSE RELATIONSHIP “It has come to the attention of the Board of Directors that a Good Shepherd Ministries employee responded to certain inquiries about its former lawsuit against Rippaverse and Mr. July.  The Board of Good Shepherd apologizes for any misinformation caused by that employees’ response to these inquiries. Good Shepherd cannot restrict The Rippaverse from continuing its 'Isom' titled series. Any statements that suggest otherwise are untrue. We are sensitive that there are bad actors that want to detract from Rippaverse and Mr. July.  And we will be more vigilant in the future. The statements made regarding the Rippaverse character ISOM and any future publications were made in error and not authorized by the governing board of our ministry.  We hold Rippaverse and Mr. July in the highest regard and wish them well in all of their future endeavors."

🚨Best Explanation For The New Jersey Drone Situation (It's a PsyOp) This breakdown was given to us by a now-deleted @X account called @JerseyFutures 👇 "I’m one of the few groups of people who know exactly what the drones are in New Jersey. This tweet will likely go into the void as I have no followers, but I’ll share anyway. Please retweet for reach. What you’re seeing are American-made HPGe nuclear detector drones. They can detect the presence of gamma rays miles away. But what is a gamma ray? That’s the stuff we attribute to radiation, electromagnetic waves that penetrate you and can cause cancer. HPGe drones are built to inspect nuclear sites, but these ones aren’t… In the late 2000s, the DoD needed a response to the threat of dirty bombs from ISIS coming into our ports in NY and NJ. They’ve been stocking up on these drones for a while. Some were deployed to Ukraine when Russia threatened the use of dirty bombs. They look weird because they’re heavy and have giant cryocoolers mounted, as well as giant horn antennas to communicate on mmwave frequencies that can’t be jammed. This is where I come in. The technology these drones use has few suppliers, both for mmwave equipment and the high purity germanium. The same suppliers that are the backbone of my industry. So what are they doing? Collecting information on how the public will react (PsyOp) and testing their ability to sweep a port city like NY for dirty bombs. Jersey was chosen because we’re the closest port city to NY, and NY would be too dense for reliable mmwave comms. But why is the DoD silent? Again, because in a scenario where we have a threat of a dirty bomb and the public doesn’t yet know, the DoD needs to know how the public would react if these drones were deployed to sweep a city. What many don’t realize is that Ukraine is the reason we’re here. That was the first time we deployed them in a combat zone, but make no mistake, they’re for protecting the homeland, as the DoD bought hundreds of thousands to act as swarms capable of sweeping a city.

Announcing a Settlement between Good Shepherd and Eric July and his Rippaverse LLC - ISOM Trademark Lawsuit UPDATE - @EricDJuly #isom #rippaverse It is with a sense of joy and relief that we at Good Shepherd Ministries announce that we have fully resolved our dispute with Mr. Eric July and his Rippaverse companies. This is being announced during this season where we celebrate God sending His Son to resolve a major issue between Him and humankind, not that the two events are in any way compatible but the desire to reconcile is the appropriate analogy. Both Mr. July and I, Rev. Berin Gilfillan, are people who profess a Christian faith and we both ultimately answer to one Master, Jesus Christ. It is therefore right that we come to the table and discuss very real issues and find ways that are mutually acceptable to resolve them. Unfortunately this had to play out in a very public way and in an ultra polarized social and political environment. It is somewhat miraculous that, despite all the hateful rhetoric online and the thousands of hours of other negative online commentary, reason and commonality prevailed. We are grateful to Mr. July and all the lawyers involved for their attention to detail, their willingness to create a legitimate separation in our names and branding and for the countless hours both sides put into the negotiations. In the end a willingness to find a solution drove us to a mutually acceptable agreement. We look forward to going on, with this issue resolved, each in our separate lanes and we wish Mr. July and all the Rippaverse fans a wonderful Christmas and blessings in 2024 and beyond. ISOM Trademark Lawsuit UPDATE - Why Serving the Lawsuit Against Eric July and Rippaverse LLC has now become necessary: @EricDJuly #isom #rippaverse It is with deep sadness that Good Shepherd Ministries, International (isom.org) announces that its efforts to reasonably settle its ISOM trademark dispute with Mr. Eric July and his business Rippaverse LLC have been unsuccessful. Good Shepherd had hoped to avoid the time, effort, expense, and uncertainty associated with litigation, but settlement negotiations have reached an impasse. Good Shepherd will now serve its lawsuit on Mr. July’s company, and seek relief in court. With the serving of this lawsuit, all previous settlement offers are off the table. Good Shepherd intends to defend, with everything it has, its good ISOM name. We created that name over 25 years ago and have grown it prolifically, on a global scale, in the ensuing decades. We are at peace knowing that we tried hard to resolve this out of court through a simple settlement. Even though we failed, we are confident that a jury trial and the legal system will bring a just resolution to this matter. Some related information is set forth below: The CORE issue in this dispute is Trademark infringement. A basic test for trademark infringement is whether consumers are likely to be confused as to the source of the trademarked things – in other words, are consumers likely to think there is a connection between (1) Good Shepherd’s decades of using its ISOM trademark and Good Shepherd’s U.S. Registration of its ISOM trademark, and (2) Mr. July and his company starting a little over a year ago to use ISOM as the name of a graphic serial novel character. As mentioned below, we already are far past a “likelihood of confusion.” We have evidence that Mr. July and his company have caused actual confusion. Mr. July and his company used our ISOM trademark as a character name and title to launch their Rippaverse company. They found a receptive audience, and every month their infringing use of our ISOM Trademark has been increasing. This is being accomplished through search engine optimization (SEO), social media posts, and other online postings that highlight our trademarked ISOM name. As a result, their infringement of our ISOM Trademark is now at a point where it is colliding with our customers and our organizational use and cannot be ignored. The recent lawsuit controversy over their infringement has only amplified everything and resulted in extensive coverage of ISOM on podcasts, blogs, vlogs, X, and YouTube channels. These are only adding to the confusion. Here are some of the many reasons for the likely and actual confusion: · Both organizations spell the ISOM name in the exact same way · As a result, Internet searches of the word ISOM bring up both organizations and products side by side. Under “images” and on YouTube this confusion is amplified · Social media hashtags including “ISOM” are similarly confusing especially #ISOM · Both organizations pronounce the ISOM name in the exact same way · Both organizations are engaged in the online sales of publishing content · Both organizations have products that have a Christian theme or mark (i.e., Mr. July included a cross on his character’s belt) · Both organizations have overlapping conservative Christian audiences · Both organizations are involved in charity work · Both organizations have merch products that look very similar As mentioned above, Mr. July’s use of ISOM is not just “likely” to cause confusion – already we have come across many examples of people actually being confused as to whether we are the source of, or associated with, Mr. July’s comic book/character. The damage to our ISOM name is obvious. Here is just one very recent (October 2023) example of such actual confusion. Hello, I apologize for such a strange email, but I just recently saw a You Tube video my son was watching, and I saw something that genuinely concerned me regarding ISOM. I may have misunderstood, but from what I understand a man representing your brand stole money from children in need, and frankly I find that unacceptable. I certainly don't blame you or ISOM for associating with such a man, as he may not (and hopefully does not) reflect the values of ISOM, but I don't think my worry is unfounded. I myself am a devout Christian, and to see someone abuse the faith in such a manner is abhorrent. Please get back to me when you can, and best regards, Robert After responding that we had NO affiliation with Mr. July, we asked how this person got to know about our ISOM program and we got this response October 5th, 2023: Hello Dr. Gilfillan, Firstly, I'd like to apologize for my accusatory email. I was certainly mistaken, and for that I sincerely apologize. I only somewhat knew of the ISOM program from a little over a year ago, where after I retired I was able to focus more on my religion. I have been looking through different programs to advance my connection with the Lord; ISOM being one of the main programs I was looking into. I just felt the need to reach out to ensure that the faith wasn't being used for frankly despicable purposes, at least if I understood the video I overheard correctly. I learned a little more about the controversy from my son, and I learned after that there was no connection between the two. Best regards, Robert Regardless of the validity of the accusations contained in the above emails, it is easy to see how Good Shepherd can get discredited by every controversy generated or faced by Mr. July and his ISOM comic book brand. Good Shepherd is a Christian ministry. It is 100% a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is significantly sustained through donations. These donations depend massively on public trust and financial and organisational integrity. The damage to our charity’s reputation by Mr. July’s use of our Trademarked ISOM name is extremely real and significant. As mentioned above, at great expense and effort, Good Shepherd adopted and has used for decades our name “ISOM.” That is how we are referred to all over the world. This is no different than other organizations like IHOP, IBM and KFC whose branding has become their trademarked letters. The one-minute video below is on our isom.org homepage and clearly shows the use of our ISOM name and the scope of projects we are involved with UNDER our ISOM name all over the world: vimeo.com/167475532 Mr. July is not shy about his personally held beliefs and has a significant audience, especially on YouTube. While he is certainly entitled to his own beliefs, we do not want his beliefs, statements, and actions to be wrongly attributed to Good Shepherd because of Mr. July’s use of our registered trademark ISOM. Specifically, and among other things, Good Shepherd is concerned about Mr. July's prolific use of unacceptable swear words. Being associated with that usage is deeply troubling to us, and even more disturbing is when Mr. July uses the name of Jesus Christ in vain. This is, to us, completely unacceptable for someone claiming to represent the Christian faith. We have gathered evidence of these unacceptable verbal usages and our board of directors does NOT want our ISOM brand to be confused with, or associated with, Mr. July or his ISOM brand. In short, some of Mr. July’s public statements, actions, and persona do not reflect Good Shepherd’s core values or ways of communicating our values. For these reasons, and many more, we are serving our lawsuit. Despite our efforts, Mr. July and his company refuse to acknowledge that they have, in any way, infringed on our ISOM Trademark rights. This infringement matter is central to everything else. Unfortunately, it appears, the legal system is needed to resolve this core issue. Only after Trademark infringement has been confirmed can any further negotiation be meaningful. Sincerely, Dr. Berin Gilfillan – ISOM and Good Shepherd Founder

Actually the lawsuit is to prevent the other side from preemptively filing first and making us defend our Trademark in Texas. It also outlines the seriousness of the infringement so the other side will know we are not trolls. We only want to resolve this respectfully and amicably but our legal system requires that we follow certain protocols. Thanks for your comments and concern.

Official Statement from ISOM’s Founder in California #ISOM #EricJuly #Rippaverse In the past few days there has been a lot swirling in cyberspace about our (Good Shepherd's) filed (but not served) lawsuit against Eric July and his LLC Rippaverse. Several important things have not been included in those postings. Most importantly, our ministry (Good Shepherd) sincerely wishes that Mr. July had selected some OTHER name for his main character, instead of our trademark ISOM. We are not sure why he selected ISOM, but if he had selected another name, this situation would not have occurred. Perhaps as importantly, what also has NOT been included in those postings was the letter we sent alongside the lawsuit. In that letter, we said we have no desire to serve the lawsuit and begin litigating, but that instead we are asking them to “Enter into expedited negotiations with Good Shepherd to try to resolve these issues in a discreet and amicable way that respects the objectives and needs of all parties.” Despite our request and invitation to discreetly negotiate, what has transpired in the past few days has been anything but discreet. Some points in this whole matter need to be made clear: •As noted above, we intentionally have NOT “served” our lawsuit, in hopes that the parties can negotiate a reasonable settlement. •In the past few years Mr. July himself applied to register “Rippaverse” as a Trademark to protect against other people using it. In the same way, and for the same reason, we applied to register ISOM in 2006, and have been using it since as early as 1999. Like Mr. July, we are only trying to protect our ISOM Trademark. Mr. July apparently already has had to defend his Trademark against others using a confusing or conflicting trademark. We should not be criticised for similar actions, taking reasonable steps to defend our trademark ISOM. •Mr. July has built a very impressive business and we have no desire to damage or destroy it. We do want to eliminate trademark confusion in the marketplace, and we have some practical ideas as to how to do that (which we hope to discuss if he calls us as we requested in our letter). •As noted above, we would have been a lot happier if Mr. July had chosen another name than ISOM for his superhero. •We have no idea whether the journalist letter sent to us (as mentioned in the lawsuit) was from a nefarious troll or not. It was sent to our intellectual property attorney. This topic is open for discussion if Mr. July communicates with us. •ISOM stands for the International School of Ministry. We are not a church but a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Our work was birthed while I was doing missions work for two years living with my family in Nigeria. We work now doing Christian ministry training across the denominational spectrum in 150 countries, including nearly every African nation and most nations of the world. We have worked very diligently and faithfully for nearly 25 years, to develop the deep goodwill associated with our efforts, under our trademark ISOM. Again, we simply wish to protect that goodwill and avoid confusion in the marketplace. •Please don’t associate us with any political entity or agenda. This matter is strictly about clarifying Trademark boundaries and use. Sincerely, Berin Gilfillan - Good Shepherd and ISOM Founder
