How does racism persist. First Coercion. Violence that kills, maims, detains, silences. George Floyd. Next is Consent. The nod we give to systemic discrimination. Res schools, modern slavery of migrant workers, poverty among people of colour. Confront coercion! Dismantle consent!

They came from Europe to care for Canadian kids. Called governesses, au pairs (equal to); granted automatic Canadian residency. Then they came from Caribbean and Philippines. Live in caregivers. To work for years with no guarantee of residence. No, there is no racism in Canada.

Be careful of what you say. You’re clueing people to what’s really going on in your head. This guy says people voted for Nenshi because of his race. What he really is saying is that HE did not vote for Nenshi because of the Mayor’s race. Drag racism out into the light. #racism
