Bro to bro: do you know that a 20 litre drum of emulsion paint will conveniently paint a 160 sqm of block wall? The average cost of a "quality" emulsion paint is between N150,000 to N170,000. If a 20 litre cost 160,000 Coverage area 160sqm, Cost of paint/sqm = 160,000/160 = N1,000. Labour for painting 1 sqm of wall currently averages 1,300 - 1500. "Applying it to our Example": For our 450sqm of Blockwork Paint: 450/160 = 3 drums of 20 litre approx. (For 1 coat) = 160000 x 3 = N480,000 Labour: 1400 x 450 = N630,000.00 Painting is done at least 2X if the wall is screeded, 3X for unscreeded walls. 1. Surface coat 2. Finishing coat For 2 coats, we have Paint = 480,000 x 2 = 960,000 Labour= 630,000 How many 4 litres will be needed for 450sqm of Blockwork?

Court Orders Lagos Businesswoman to Return Property to Ex-Husband A Lagos-based businesswoman and former NTA staff, Ms. Olufunke Otti, has been ordered by the Lagos High Court to return a property she unlawfully acquired from her ex-husband, Chief Isaac Morakinyo Jolapamo. Delivering judgment in suit No. LD/3034LM/2022 on March 26, 2026, Justice Olufolake Olufolashade Adewunmi-Oshin declared that the property located at 23A & B Olusegun Aina Street, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos, rightfully belongs to Chief Jolapamo and not Ms. Otti. The court consequently ordered her to relinquish the property to him. In addition, the court directed Ms. Otti to refund N410,347,000.00 to Chief Jolapamo, representing the outstanding balance from the proceeds of the sale of two vessels. She was also ordered to remit N63,000,000.00, being rental income collected from tenants between 2018 and 2021. Furthermore, the court awarded N5 million in general damages against her. Ms. Otti and Chief Jolapamo were formerly married. Their relationship began at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), where Chief Jolapamo had gone in search of spiritual and personal support during a difficult period. Ms. Otti, a senior member of the church, was assigned to assist him, and their relationship eventually developed into a romantic one. The couple formalized their union on February 23, 2017, at the Federal Marriage Registry in Ikoyi, Lagos. During the marriage, Chief Jolapamo entrusted his wife with significant business responsibilities, including the sale of two vessels—M.T. MOR Prosperity and M.T. Power—with instructions to use the proceeds to acquire a matrimonial home in Parkview Estate. Ms. Otti sold the vessels for N810,347,000.00 and purchased the property as directed. However, she registered the property solely in her name without her husband’s knowledge. The situation came to light during a trip abroad when she sent him back to Nigeria and later informed him via WhatsApp that she was no longer interested in the marriage, instructing him to vacate the house. This revelation marked the beginning of a prolonged legal dispute between the couple, who had ceased living together as husband and wife since March 2019. Their marriage was officially dissolved in April 2025. With the court’s judgment delivered on March 26, 2026, Chief Jolapamo has now successfully reclaimed his property and financial entitlements. © Unknown Author

I hope this NGX hype wave doesn't dwindle soon.... 2008 is still fresh especially with these corporates, promising dividends payout & not fulfilling it, hiding behind CBN approval.

Bro to bro: do you know that a 50kg bag of cement will conveniently lay 50 blocks? A bag of cement now is at N12,500, Labour for laying a block as at today is averaging N150.00 per block. For 50 blocks: 150 x 50 = N7,500. Back to our sample: For a standard 4 bedroom bungalow: 4,500 blocks will require: 4,500/50 = 90 bags of cement. Which will cost: 90 x 12500 = N1,125,000 Labour will cost: 4500 x 150 = N675,000 Total for cement and Labour: 1,125,000 + 675,000 = N1,800,000.00 Have you started planning your building?

PRESS STATEMENT April 30, 2026 SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT AND THE CONTINUITY OF LEADERSHIP IN THE PDP The Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) acknowledges the judgment of the Supreme Court delivered on Thursday, April 30, 2026. For the avoidance of doubt, the judgment of the Supreme Court simply affirms the earlier decisions of the Federal High Court and the Court of Appeal nullifying the purported National Convention of the Party held on the 15th and 16th of November 2025 in Ibadan, Oyo State. As the conscience and the moral compass of the party, the BOT fully respects and accepts the judgment of the Supreme Court. Consequently, the legal position remains clear and unambiguous: the said Ibadan Convention stands nullified, and any structure emanating therefrom has no legal foundation.  Accordingly, the leadership structure of the Party under: Alhaji Abdulrahman Mohammed – National Chairman Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu, FCIPA – National Secretary remains the valid and stabilizing authority to guide the affairs of the Party at the national level. The Party remains fully functional and will continue to operate through its recognized organs in line with the Constitution of out party (as amended in 2017). Necessary constitutional steps will be taken, as appropriate, to further strengthen the Party’s unity, stability, and preparedness for upcoming electoral engagements. We call on all members of our great Party to remain focused, united and committed. Consequent upon this, the BOT advises the National Working Committee to immediately constitute a National Reconciliation Committee to reach out to all aggrieved members of the party across the country.  This is a moment for discipline, loyalty, and collective commitment to the ideals and future of the party. The PDP remains strong, resilient, and committed to its historic mission of providing credible leadership to Nigeria. Signed: Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, PhD, NPOM Chairman  Board of Trustees

UBA dropped Q1 2026 numbers and the direction is clear. Deposits grew **11.8% to N27.2 trillion.** Total assets up **9.4% to N33.2 trillion.** And the bank is actively positioning to grow its risk asset base in high-potential sectors as Nigeria's macroeconomic fundamentals continue to firm up. If that strategy plays out as the numbers suggest it will, the Bank could be looking at **over N1 trillion in earnings growth in FY2026 alone.** The fundamentals were never the problem. The 2025 provisions were a one-time reset, not a continuous trend and will definitely come out of it as a leaner, better capitalised, and better positioned than before. 2026 is UBA's Big year. Hold your shares. Or start buying if you haven’t.
