I agree that having students research a subject independently can allow them to deepen their understanding of a subject. I recently introduced Brittanica to my 1st-grade students. Peardeck🍐 is a fun way to make the learning visual and get immediate insight to see who is answering correctly. @DavisDecker3 @doctor2pi After reading your reply I searched youtube for Kahoot videos in 1st grade. I am inspired to try this in my classroom soon! I always thought it was more for upper grades. @doctor2pi A1) There are many ways technology can be used to engage students. I taught my 1st graders how to use google slides to add images supporting facts that they found when researching for a passion project. They are now asking when we will do it again! @DrEddiesClass #CSUBTED

I use ClassDojo in my class. I can have it on my phone throughout the day to give points for positive behavior. They love it!
