It was never about Notre Dame and Miami. It was the fact that two undeserving SEC teams got in ahead of the Irish. I don’t know how anyone could have watched Alabama play Auburn and Georgia and thought, “Yeah that’s a playoff team.” Disgusting SEC favoritism by the committee.

@swflskier18 Perhaps, but Notre Dame’s dominant wins were truly against some of the worst in the P4. SOS and beating good teams should matter more than subjectivity IMO. Sports is a meritocracy

@cfb_ultimate I wanted the better team, and it was clearly Notre Dame. Anybody who disagrees, after watching Alabama play Auburn and Georgia, is being disingenuous.

@realmikolson Some of the dialogue (mainly “dad/daddy”), yes, that was odd & a bad choice. Using American accents? No, it’s no different than using English or Old English accents when Homer predates the English language by millennia

@cfb_ultimate Notre Dame lost to two playoff teams by a combined four points. Alabama lost by 14 to a Florida State team that went 5-7. Alabama got blown out by Georgia the most recent time they played & clearly did not look like a playoff team, unless you’re looking through crimson glasses.

Since 2006 the #Sooners have produced three classes with three (or more) five-star signees. Those have produced two national championship games, four conference championships, and one playoff berth. It's a pretty solid indicator for success and OU looks set to do it again.

Regardless, George celebrated Wolfe’s “denouncement” of Spangler (which only criticized Spangler of being anti-American) and he’s repeatable defended Wolfe and ethnonationalism. Walks like a duck…

@irrationalfanof @presbycast Reformed churches also have deaconal funds, but obviously that’s not exclusive to young families (nor should it be), but in some churches families get support for Xian school tuition

@irrationalfanof @presbycast Most of it would be directed to keeping the doors open (paying bills/general fund), and paying the pastor. Depending on the church they may give a decent amount to missions. Weeklong “mission trips” would be very low (if even on the budget).
