POV it’s Saturday morning and these two are on your TV All is right in the world

Over the weekend, I learned about the Shaker Christian movement. They embraced celibacy, communal living, pacifism, tech innovation, and charismatic worship. In the 1780s they institutionalized equality of the sexes, with women in spiritual leadership. Any else heard of them?

I've never been a consistent nicotine user in my life - I realize now I always tried too much at once - but I've been using @nicnacusa daily for the past two weeks, starting out with breaking a 3mg in half, and they're phenomenal. -Mood elevation -Consistent energy through the day -Higher thought clarity -Definite testosterone boost This stuff is like an all natural limitless pill that dissolves in your mouth and tastes great. Highly recommend.

go learn your Latin catechism like a good Princetonian @BerithPress

It would horrify me to think anyone would learn the Shorter Catechism to "peacock" or show off their Latin. This book was designed specifically because children, already familiar with the Shorter Catechism, would have something (a) familiar & (b) edifying with which to study Latin. I added other ecumenical creeds, and the Ten Commandments too. I annotated the words with a numbering system to save having to look in the dictionary, and to give students a chance to learn Latin intuitively, with facing pages. Latin helps students understand English better, it helps you in fields such as medicine, and there is lots of great literature in Latin that realistically will not all be translated. For theological studies, of course it is very helpful. I believe it's very important to wear your learning lightly, as they say, and I would much rather someone learn his catechism in English and be regenerate than pridefully "peacock"; but this is a false dichotomy and very far from the intention of this book, which is to help parents teach their children, and learn some Latin themselves.

Ben Shapiro just ENDORSED @ByronDonalds for Governor, calling him a “great ally of Israel and friend of Netanyahu.”

It's probably worth examining whether there's a correlation between England's state church ordaining a woman as Archbishop and Finland (which has national churches) persecuting actual evangelicals. State-sponsored egalitarianism (along with gay marriage and euthanasia) and state-sponsored persecution coming at the hands of "promoting true religion" through government is not the solution we're told it is. It will not work because it cannot work: the state has no disciplinary mechanism within itself to preserve orthodoxy. All that's left is a hollow shell of a once-vibrant faith held captive to religious nominalism. When the state formally allies itself with a religious body, nothing of benefit persists—only long-term dilution of real faith. The historical record is unbeaten in nationalized Christianity corrupting true religion.
