Cool! Enzo Fernandez is not a DM he's a creative #8. So what exactly is lacking in his general midfield play for a player in his position? I don't see anyone expecting goals form moises Enzo discourse is so so stupid because why are we acting as if scoring is ALL HE DOES?

Lol this your take they gba Caicedo is a b2b player, if you are going to play him as a 6 or deep 6 you need to compliment him with another player. Is just like saying you want to play Kante as a deep 6 you won't enjoy that's why throughout his career he had someone beside him.
Based on chelsea fans logic, “Caicedo needs a good partner to unlock his full potential”. Logically saying that he was never good 🤷♂️

Chema Andrés could be Xabi Alonso’s ideal Enzo Fernández replacement. A tall, composed holding midfielder with Rodri-like qualities excellent positioning, progressive passing, and tactical intelligence. His style perfectly suits Alonso’s high-control, fluid football. Xabi coached him at Real Madrid’s academy and knows his quality inside out. That’s why he could push for Chema over Granit Xhaka as Enzo’s successor. Would Chelsea fans accept him as the new Enzo? #CFC
The one thing I've said about this for people who might not have seen it. We all know how unbalanced our midfield is. Caicedo, Enzo and Palmer cannot play together in the Premier league without some form of compromise. If you want to play high pressing and counter pressing style of football, the balance is not there off the ball. The midfield was poorly built from the onset. Only way it has been able to work is if Palmer plays RW and Enzo plays 10 and hes not a natural 10 with Caicedo-Reece at pivot. If you now have Joao up top and neto on the left. That is arguably our best XI if they are fit. (In a back 4) Now what that XI lacks is a forward or at least 2 with enough movement in the front line, A proper in between the lines player and a ball carrier, you can argue a proper DM too. I've been thinking to myself, even yesterday night that, with this midfield imbalance our SDs have brought upon us how can we move forward? What was the original plan for the midfield set up. Pivot? Midfield 3? of smaller sized technicians? It would then mean your Fullbacks and CBs would be more athletic to cover or one midfielder to balance it out. Something has to give. Someone might need to be sacrificed for balance. Enzo is not the cause for imbalance. Because its the squad with each other not one player. They didn't try to build around either Palmer, Enzo or Caicedo to get the most complimentary profiles rhay balance them out and here we are 3 seasons later and the imbalance is still there. Great individual players, but not a balanced midfield 3. If Enzo does go. It gives them a chance to correct it. I'll explain in another tweet.
