I say this with the utmost seriousness, the last thing Chelsea football club need is an 18-year old centre back while outright refusing to play the much better player, who’s 19, in Josh Acheampong.
Florian Plettenberg@Plettigoal

🚨🆕 Chelsea have entered the race for the 18 y/o talented centre-back Karim Coulibaly, who is seen as a top talent with huge potential. #CFC are very impressed with his development. A summer move is 100% planned. Several top clubs are scouting him, including Real Madrid, ManUtd, Newcastle, PSG and Napoli. Werder Bremen are still hoping for a fee of €40-50m. @SkySportDE 🇩🇪🇨🇮

Signings made with PL experience: Sanchez Cucurella Fofana Tosin Lavia Delap Neto Garnacho Caicedo Sterling Aubameyang Joao Pedro Sancho (loan) PL experience isn’t the issue it’s the quality of the players we’re targeting!

🚨BREAKING: Privately, the club have assured Cucurella and Reece James that signings with proven Premier League experience will arrive at centre‑back, central midfield and in attacking areas. [BBC]

Not getting Olise has to be one of the worst fumbles in modern history! And these same SDs are the ones Chelsea fans think are going to do something this summer…. Stinky

Instead of Michael Olise, Chelsea ended up signing Pedro Neto, Joao Félix, and Jadon Sancho. The following summer, Garnacho and Gittens arrived. In total, they cost €220m. Michael Olise, costed Bayern Munich €54m. This is the perfect example to highlight Chelsea's strategy. (via @pabloespinosa11)

One of the most mediocre Premier League title winners of all time. Only a matter of time that they lose in the CL, possibly to Sporting. Their heinous football is catching up to them.
EiF@EiFSoccer

We’re really witnessing one of the most mediocre Premier League title winning sides of all time. Boring, focused on set pieces, time wasters, arrogant for no real reason. This was a necessary humbling for this Arsenal side who, important to note, have still not won anything.

Chelsea will lose Acheampong and it will be entirely their fault. He's been handled shamefully.

Josh Acheampong is going to leave in the summer and I do not blame him 100%

Chelsea will likely lose Josh Acheampong this summer the same way they lost Lewis Hall and Marc Guehi - prioritising other players that should not have a long term future because the squad is padded with so many average options.

Management of Josh Acheampong has been horrendous this season. What an absolute waste of potential development.

Chelsea for 12+ months have called Josh Acheampong “untouchable” but actions speak louder than words and at this point it seems they’re more likely to play Donald Trump at CB or RB. Josh has every right to want to leave.

Wow. Wow. Wow. I didn’t like how Enzo was moving but I definitely didn’t want him suspended. The club only has themselves to blame really. They signed a player who has ambition but doesn’t always show it in the most loyal way (Benfica exit). And they haven’t met his ambition…

🚨 BREAKING: Rosenior on Enzo “As a football club, with me as part of the decision, he won't be available for tomorrow's game or Manchester City next Sunday. A line was crossed in terms of our culture and what we want to build”

Do you know how bad Chelsea’s ownership has to be to have their fanbase feeling more negative about the club than Tottenham?

🚨🔵 The potential flaw in this situation for Chelsea is that the rebellious comments show the best players will not want to wait for others to realise their potential. (@JacobSteinberg) #CFC

Cucurella & Enzo’s comments are a consequence of the culture the owners have cultivated at this club. High turnover of staff & players, bomb squads, hit pieces & character assassinations after exits. Now you want camaraderie & accountability. Look in the mirror, the “assets” are acting in the environment you created, accordingly.
