I think there’s a reasonable conversation to have about any government involvement in social media TOS enforcement/takedown requests. That said, the Trump administration was found to have similarly put pressure on social media companies to crack down on COVID disinfo. Trump pressured Twitter to remove a Chrissy Teigen post calling him a “pussy ass bitch” lol. That’s…pretty egregious. There was nothing there beyond a personal grievance. No public health concerns. Just hurt feelings. There’s also a pretty enormous difference between what both Trump and Biden did with respect to working with social media companies, during the pandemic in an effort to limit actual harm, and Trump’s FCC threatening a corporation with consequences imposed by the federal government if they don’t fire a talk show host that is critical of Trump. x.com/Acyn/status/16…

Charlie Kirk was truly an awful person. I think Violence is the result of the suppression of the people and anger towards the oppressor. Charlie is just the mouthpiece.

While political violence is abhorrent, I cant say that this happening was unexpected nor desired by a lot of people. Two Democratic senators were murdered but received barely any news coverage compared to Charlie Kirk's and its only been 30 minutes.
