@rupertmiller The problem is who the hell is stupid enough to take the job..

@UrikHumle @RudolphN17 I would be looking to keep much the same teams as Liverpool & Atleti. Players need to rest and of course pick up injuries, but we also have to reward good performances
English

@cfht1882 @RudolphN17 You’re right. And not just due to fitness, it’s also about gelling and interplay. We can’t be throwing completely different teams out each game and expect it to work even if it’s better on paper

@AlasdairGold My biggest concern with Xavi and may others is that we so rarely see them motivated and playing with fire in their bellies

"It was a really beautiful surprise for me. He was inside from the first second of the game. It was nice to find in him this resource we will need in these last games we still have to play." football.london/tottenham-hots…

@_th3halfspace @thfcjoaquin I have never had an issue with a loan for Paulinha, as he gave youngsters time to develop without pressure. If we buy him however, that’s another issue. I don’t mind Gallagher, but Gray & Bergvall have far higher ceilings
English

tears, we got Gray, Sarr, Olusesi, and Bergvall all breaking out, but Lange & Co decided to shell out 40m in transfer fees and 400k per week for Gallagher & Palhinha

@AlasdairGold I tend not to believe too much of what I read, but it’s hard not to concede that Mickey and many others have been very poor and rudderless for most of the season. Actions always speak louder than words
English

@JonnyH3232 @THFC_Mastrigt What I liked about Olusesi yesterday was that he looked composed. Willing to accept the ball in tight spaces. Was happy to do the basics. Kept possession without fuss which has been a huge problem in CM for far too long.
English

Anyone who has followed me long enough will know how long I’ve gone on about Callum Olusesi our U-21 captain to be given his chance at 19 this M/F ,A/M Premier League debut was way overdue.
His stats from the 74th minute
• 8/8 accurate passes
• 2 passes into the final third
• 1/1 accurate long balls
• 2 recoveries
He showed real confidence, demanded the ball, and performed solidly in tight spaces without any errors that I saw.
He actually made his Spurs debut v Hoffenheim in Jan last year.
I’m now hoping he gets more chances to show his true talent.

@WellOnside Historically managers are risk averse & even in times of desperation will tend to play safe as they feel a senior player is less of a gamble & less likely to choke. This probably isn’t the case at Spurs atm, as many are so low physically & mentally, but I can’t see Tudor risking
English

Tottenham’s few remaining first-team players are both mentally and physically EXHAUSTED.
Squad, management and fan morale is at an all-time low.
I’d say many of them are currently struggling to pass 70-80%, 20-30% off their absolute best level. EXHAUSTED.
Who would put in a better display… a mentally and physically drained Xavi Simons, currently at ~75%, or a fresh Luca Williams-Barnett, currently at 100% and chomping at the bit for an opportunity to impress?
And if you say Simons still, which I wouldn’t necessarily argue with. You can’t say there is miles in it, at best Simons edges it. So then the question is, why can’t Williams-Barnett be given at least the odd 30 minutes occasionally?
That complete lack of trust in our youngsters is what has frustrated me the most these past 2 seasons. I know you can’t rely on kids at this level, but you can still utilise them in order to keep your main squad fresh, which provides them with opportunities to prove they’re good enough for more game time.
Thoughts?
