@kareem_carr If race essentialists were right then wouldn’t that be an argument in *favor* of a more socialist society (“from each according to his abilities…”)? If you needed perfect pitch to earn enough money to own a home and have decent health care that would be obviously unfair.

It's funny how race scientists present the hypothesis that black people are biologically inferior, and thus deserving of a lower socioeconomic status, as if it's some edgy theory that's never been tried, when it's been a core tenet of scientific racism for at least 300 years.

We need to get over the idea that debt finance is progressive. The Nordic social democracies have either small or no deficits. The US has a giant deficit. Now the Pentagon, that's another story. But if we're ever going to get anywhere we have to break the tax phobia.

@johnedwinmason @LivableCville The recent policy change did eliminate single family zoning city wide. Meaning that it allows multiple dwellings everywhere that is zoned for housing. Or do you mean making new single family homes illegal?

@mtgillikin @realDLeblang @dem8z I think I have said this before, but I have aways thought Haidt is actually smart enough to know better but also knows a good grift when he sees one. Liberals would rather be "fair minded" than have principals so they will invite you into the fold "for balance."

The republicans spent years in the wilderness (e.g. Goldwater) moving the center continuously to the right.
