Consul General attended the Indian Student Roundtable organized by the Association of Indian Students Australia (AISA). The Consul General addressed key topics including the role and function of Consulate and range of consular services available to students. Other distinguished speakers included Deepak Sharma, President of Indian Society of WA (ISWA) who spoke about outreach activities for students organised by ISWA from time to time; Dr. Sadhana Bose, President of the Ethnic Communities Council of Western Australia (ECCWA), who highlighted opportunities in STEM and community engagement; Dr Rekha Koul, Deputy Head and Discipline Lead at the STEM Research Group, School of Education, Curtin University, shared insights on academia, including the advantages and challenges of studying in Perth.

Consul General called on Hon. Don Punch MLA, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Water, Climate Resilience and the South West, to discuss opportunities for cooperation and regional development in Western Australia. The discussions focused on strengthening Indigenous partnerships and promoting cultural exchanges between Indian and Western Australian artists. They also explored avenues for enhancing trade facilitation between India and the South West region. The vibrant Indian community in Bunbury is playing an important role in promoting people-to-people connections and fostering collaboration between India and Western Australia. Both sides also discussed the exchange of best practices in water management, climate resilience, and addressing the impacts of the green energy transition on water resources.
