Overworld Arena has been a mixed experience. The pay-to-win aspect turned off many players, highlighting Overworld's failure to strike a balance between being a competitive farming game and turning into a pay-to-win game. To illustrate this simply, the 3-day boost weekend allowed me to jump from 300,000th place to 95th, without even playing the entire three days. I simply spent 400 USD. However, I still want to commend Overworld for their quick adaptation when they realized their product wasn't working as intended. Instead of persisting, they chose to shorten the competition, cancel the upcoming season, increase the prize pool, and distribute rewards within two weeks (early July). Without these decisions, this experience would have had no bright side.
