US Senator Lindsey Graham has died at 71 after a "brief and sudden illness," his office said. The South Carolina Republican was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2002, won reelection three times and had been seeking a fifth Senate term after winning the Republican primary last month. President Trump called Graham a "true American Patriot" who "will be greatly missed."

I've been an educator all my life, in the classroom, in school leadership, and training the next generation of principals and superintendents. I know what it takes to turn a ranking like that around: listen to teachers, support parents, and make sure every child gets a real shot to read, learn, and build a future right here in Alabama.
