The last 24 hours have been wild

If you're going to penalize a 1-loss Power Conference team for a weak strength of schedule... BYU's SOS is better than Ole Miss and Notre Dame. If you're going to penalize a team for not having the strongest power ratings (which incorporate prior year's history and recruiting rankings)... BYU's FPI is higher than Oklahoma's. If you're going to penalize a team for a non-competitive / bad loss... Alabama lost by 14 to a team with a losing record and Miami lost to two unranked teams. If you're going to use strength-of-record like you indicated you would, BYU's SOR is the second highest of teams 6-12. BYU also (1) made its conference championship game and (2) if you sum up the wins of the teams it has beaten, it is THIRD in the country. It is hard to win games and BYU has beaten a lot of teams with a lot of wins. This. Makes. No. Sense. The @CFBPlayoff should be ashamed of itself. It has literally contorted itself into a pretzel to avoid putting BYU where it should be ranked (somewhere between 6th - 9th). RT to get the info out there. They need to feel pressure.

Non-BYU fans need to see what’s happening. It’s fine if you don’t think BYU should be in, but they should be talked about. National media and ESPN are blocking them out of the convo at conspiratorial levels. Graphics like this ALL weekend. They just skip #11? BYU wins every blind resume test on the planet.

A lot to dissect from Iowa State’s 24-17 loss at Colorado. First and foremost, it’s on the Cyclones. For the second week in a row, a combination of too many penalties and not taking advantage of opportunities doomed Iowa State. Errant throws. Dropped passes. Missed assignments. It’s on Iowa State. Two things can be true. The picked up PI flag in the end zone was very suspect. Rocco was high on the throw, but come on. To pick it up after a call on the field? I’d love to hear an explanation for that. Iowa State’s non-existent kicking game is continuing to be a major problem. Has been, and will be until Kyle Konrardy comes back. We have seen enough to know that. The defense got better today. Still not getting enough pressure up front but a big improvement from last week. They deserve a tip of the cap. But the offense keeps falling short. Iowa State scored 17 points on 441 yards and 6.3 yards per play. There’s a major issue when it comes to offensive execution right now. @espn please remove the constant score ticker on your games. We all have devices where we can look up a score whenever we want. You do it for the biggest games so anytime it is on the screen it tells me you don’t think it’s a big enough game to go “no ticker”.
