selena's estate sues shein over sale of shirts & other merch bearing her likeness after they sent a C&D back in august--their claims include trademark infringement, unfair competition, & misappropriation of right of publicity. nationaltoday.com/us/tx/san-anto…

Holy shit! I used to have this guy do the comics in Vice. He said we didn’t pay him enough because it took him a month to do each page. He went by Mitch back then. Not sure what’s going on with his accent. He didn’t have one back then.

Timothée proorly expressed his thoughts on ballet and dancers. So the Oscars wacked him for that. But at the same time, he got too much heat compared to other people who have actually done bad things in Hollywood.

we're coming back to this tweet come October and the ballet and opera houses are begging Americans to switch out the Playstations and Door Dash addictions to please consider season tickets and patronage beyond The Nutcracker

I don't like that this normalizes that ppl should be institutionally bullied and humiliated when they don't perform/think accordingly, but actual abusers walk amongst you w/no shame? It's all fun and games until it's you and everyone's in on it, cos it's "just what you do"

Barber-Scotia College was the first higher education institution for Black women in this country. Today it is fighting to survive. The 144K Collective is asking 144,000 people to donate just $1.44 to help save this historic institution. Our HBCUs are not just schools. They are the foundation of our history, our culture, and our future.

i had this convo recently about why representation remains such a focal point in the cultural zeitgeist. and i can’t come up w/any other reason as to why that is except it being important to people who otherwise lack in their life the very thing in need of being represented!
