@levicook @toly @0xAlice_ Yes, it does. Unfortunately, there is no systematic way to detect if a keypair is temporary or not. The most important program inflating this metric is CandyMachine. If we exclude that we still have ~1M unique signers.

@toly @0xAlice_ @chain_crunch Does that include signers that get thrown away? eg the temporary key pairs used to create a token mint, transfer authority, etc?

Solana is breaking records again. The number of unique payers surpassed 347K yesterday. For all the people who think this is because of validators and vote transactions if you remove all the vote transactions you still have 346K unique payers! 🚀📈🔥

I was wondering where the 4M/day cited above was coming from - seems like the difference might be successful vs. all?

Therefore our initial metric was not accurate. We have created a separate chart for calculating this metric and the numbers are amazing! Later on, we found out that some protocols use a single fee-payer account to cover the fees for their userbase transactions (@toly thanks for pointing this out). Here is an example of a KIN transfer where the actual signer is not the fee payer:

Summary: Solana Unique Signers >> Unique Fee Payers Details: One of the first metrics we calculated on ChainCrunch back in September was Solana's unique users. Coming from an ETH background, we used the unique transaction fee payers as a proxy for this metric.
