We’re looking to upgrade a few water holes! What’s all thoughts on smaller fabricated water sources vs 20x20 smaller sources made with machine? The fear of digging ponds is possibly creating areas that may foster EHD via midge breeding grounds? #habitat #ehd #whitetail #deer

@BessDbess We have one spot where the hens are daily users on sunny AM’s and late afternoons with similar sun and the big ol’ Tom’s are always checking them out…fun to watch!

@champbuck I guided float trips for moose up in AK years ago ,the three must have things are good ankle fitting hip boots , lots of rope and a come-along . Also check out Larry Bartlett’s guide book on float hunting .

It will be a couple years in the making when Sept rolls around for an AK DIY river float for 🫎 with my son. Preparation is key and the fun part. Not much of a gunner yet getting muzzlebrake placed on Tikka 300WM. Any must haves from those that have floated prior…please share.
