@TheFlockOpinion As a Chargers fan: Burrow dragged a Bengals team to the Super Bowl. Allen is superhuman and constantly plays above the talent of his team. Mahomes is good, but is blessed with a great defense and a great coach. Lamar ain’t done nothhhing though hahaha.

If the goal of The Boys from the start was political satire, we’d get it. This would then be super funny. But it started off as a really cool story and premise, and after they baited their audience with that threw all the story in the trash and gave us this instead.

The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke, explaining in a TVLine interview published yesterday why Season 5 character Firecracker was always going to be murdered — and who she represented: Firecracker was intentionally made by Krikpe an allegory for Trump loyalists including Marjorie Taylor Greene, Megyn Kelly, Lauren Boebert, and Pam Bondi. Kripke's own words: "It's the most predictable pattern in the world, which is Trump demanding ultimate allegiance, making someone compromise every value they've ever had, and then kicking them out into the cold. It doesn't matter how much you kiss Homelander's a**. It doesn't matter how much you give up. Nothing will ever be enough, and you'll eventually get hoisted on your own petard. So we felt that was the right punishment for this character." In light of recent assassination attempts, does it seem that naming real women as characters written to be murdered is satire, or something else?

-Kimiko’s dialogue is atrocious
-Soldier Boy’s dialogue is atrocious
-The social commentary and satire is weak/lazy/tiresome & nowhere near as funny or good as season one.
-Stakes feel low, doesn’t at all seem like a show with only 3eps left
-The jokes & visual gags are boring/unfunny/repetitive (“Hurr durr, sex, butts, & penises” multiplied by 999)
-The writing overall is poor
-The endless real world celebrity references & name drops are exhausting
-The world building is a mess, made worse as it tries too hard to tie it into our current world
-They somehow made Homelander boring!
-The plot is dragging
And lastly, I no longer care about any of the characters. They could all die and I don’t think I’d feel a thing. The show has been on a steep decline since season 3, but even going into this season with uber low expectations, it’s somehow surprising me in how bad it actually is.
