🚨 In 2009, a Stanford lecture broke down depression in a way most people had never heard before.
And almost no one talks about it.
It came from Robert Sapolsky and instead of vague advice, he explained what’s actually happening inside your brain.
Why it hits so hard.
Why it’s so difficult to escape.
He showed that depression isn’t just “feeling sad.” It’s a biological shift. The systems that control motivation, reward, and hope start shutting down. That’s why pleasure disappears things that once felt good simply stop registering.
He also explained why people start giving up. It’s not weakness it’s chemistry. When your brain constantly signals that effort won’t lead to reward, it slowly stops trying. That’s what makes depression feel like being stuck, even when you want to move forward.
And one of his most powerful insights: awareness matters. Understanding that these feelings have a biological basis can reduce guilt and self-blame which is often the first step toward recovery.
That’s why this lecture still matters.
Because while people talk about depression…
Very few truly understand what it’s doing inside the brain.

In 1998, Abu Hamza sent a group of terrorists (including his son) to blow up the British consulate in Yemen.
They were caught. During their trial, others amongst Hamza’s thugs kidnapped foreigners in an attempt to bargain for their release.
Hamza was eventually convicted in the USA of, inter alia, ordering that kidnapping - during which four of the hostages (including three Brits) were killed.
Separately, amongst the gang convicted of the attempt to blow up the consulate alongside Hamza’s son was Shahid Butt.
Shahid Butt is now a candidate for council in Birmingham Sparkhill in May’s local elections.
This is where our suicidal empathy brings us. Someone convicted of explicitly targeting this country’s diplomatic mission for destruction is a political candidate in… this country, today.

Chimpanzees in the Congo are going through what scientists are calling a civil war, and now trail cameras are showing behavior so strange that some believe they are evolving even further.
Wildlife researchers had already been tracking rising violence within one chimp group, with signs that the animals were splitting into rival sides and attacking one another in what some people were describing as a kind of civil war. But the story took an even stranger turn once trail cameras began capturing details that made almost no sense.
In a few clips, dogs were seen moving alongside the chimps and even attacking other chimps during the chaos.
That was when the speculation exploded. Some people began saying the chimps might somehow be training the dogs with scent to go after rival groups, while others believed the dogs may have simply gotten mixed into the conflict on their own.
But the bigger question quickly became where the dogs were even coming from.
According to villagers nearby, dogs had been going missing for months, and now some believe the disappearances may be connected. Whether that is true or not, the footage has people saying the same thing: whatever is happening out there, it feels like the chimps are getting smarter.

“Palestinianism is a moral cancer in the West - which has corrupted intellectual elites, fried the collective brain, and destroyed the West’s ability to distinguish truth from lies and the ability, therefore, to defend its own way of life”
“The indigenous people of the land are the Jews and the Palestinian people do not exist.
They say it themselves, we invented it to twist the minds of the West”

Masoumeh Ebtekar - also known as "Screaming Mary" - was the spokeswoman for the Islamic terrorists who stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979 and held 52 Americans hostage for 444 days - subjecting them to beatings, starvation, and mock executions.
In 2014, the Obama Administration granted visas to her son and his family to enter the United States. In June 2016, the Obama Administration gave them lawful permanent resident status via the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program.
This week, I terminated their lawful permanent resident status and today, Seyed Eissa Hashemi, Maryam Tahmasebi, and their son are now in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement pending their removal from our country.
Her family should never have been allowed to benefit from the extraordinary privilege of living in our country.
America can never become home for anti-American terrorists or their families - and under the Trump Administration, it never will.

“But the curse of every ancient civilization was that its men in the end became unable to fight. Materialism, luxury, safety, even sometimes an almost modern sentimentality, weakened the fibre of each civilized race in turn; each became in the end a nation of pacifists, and then each was trodden under foot by some ruder people that had kept that virile fighting power the lack of which makes all other virtues useless and sometimes even harmful.”
-Teddy Roosevelt
