We shipped Gemma 3 27B back in March, and it remains as a top choice for consumer GPUs. It has solid multimodal capabilities, QAT to unlock robust quantization, and it's a developer-friendly size. And we have more in the oven 🧑‍🍳

The key is that among those top 10 models, Google's Gemma and Mistral Small are the only ones who can fit/run on consumer hardware. A single RTX 4090 is enough. All the other models have >100b parameters and requires very expensive professional hardware. This changes the perspective a lot beyond raw score in my opinion.

@code @intellectronica Sonnet 4 seems to be better than gpt5,gpt 5 is an improvement on gpt 4o or 4.1, imho 5 should be default model without affecting the premium qouta. I get that tinge of hesitation when I have 2 switch to gpt 5 over sonnet, but when sonnet is spiralling we have a model to fall back
