Toddler went to bed early last night (around 6:45) and she's still sleeping. She's usually up between 7 and 7:30. I guess she really needed the extra sleep. Weissbluth is right, sleep begets sleep.

The suspect, “Olaolukitan Adon Abel” was also allegedly in the process of se*ually assaulting her before neighbors came to the scene. Olaolukitan is charged with 3 other "completely random" shootings and the de*th of another woman. We do not have to live like this.

Two years ago, Naomi Guzman doused her father in lighter fluid and tried to set him on fire, then broke into a church and threatened a priest with a knife. She was found incompetent to stand trial and released. Today, she abducted a toddler and stabbed him before she was shot and killed by police.

What do you think she was about to do to the kid if the cops didn’t show up? Acting like she did all this to just cut the kid is similarly disingenuous. She was likely going to kill him in the parking lot or somewhere else. If your whole defense is she was just going to do a little cutting and harmless kidnapping you aren’t persuading anyone.

People saying "This is not showing something to aspire to, but showing where you start from." You are right that it's probably not showing something to aspire to. However, the people saying this, have they had children? Because those are not newborns. Those babies are at least 7-8 months old if not maybe a bit older based on how they can hold their spine So these women are not freshly postpartum I think it's trying to normalise seeing bodies like this, which, sure, you don't need to hide away, but I also think you don't need to see every single thing. We can keep some things out of media. The nonsense with sanitary towel commercials comes to mind. We had the blue liquid, then some women went 'bLoOd Is NoT bLuE,' and now suddenly I have to watch them pour quite realistic looking red stuff on the pads. Why? Why did we need that? We know blood is not blue, it just needed to demonstrate absorption not imitate reality And that's not being shameful about periods, but not everything needs to be blasted in your face on TV. You can just talk to your little girl and tell them it's normal and it's part of being a woman. The same way, women who feel insecure, hopefully, they have a good man who tells them they are still beautiful, or perhaps they can talk to friends or a therapist, because postpartum is hard on mental health anyway We don't need people to be validated by media all the time

@chantalshamsock @DanFriedman81 the point is that she was enabled to commit further violence by the justice system. The potential death of a child, and her own death at the hands of cops would have not happened had she been safely behind bars or in an institution that can look after her.
