طابع بريدي يوثق تتويج الرباط عاصمة عالمية للكتاب 2026 أشرف السيد الوزير عشية هذا اليوم، إلى جانب السيد أمين ابن جلون التويمي، المدير العام لمجموعة بريد المغرب، والسيد شرف أحميميد، مدير المكتب الجهوي لليونسكو بالدول المغاربية، على الكشف عن إصدار طابع بريدي تذكاري خاص، احتفاءً بتتويج مدينة الرباط عاصمة عالمية للكتاب لسنة 2026 من طرف منظمة اليونسكو، وذلك خلال حفل احتضنه متحف بريد المغرب بالرباط. ويجسد هذا الإصدار الرمزي المكانة الثقافية المتميزة لعاصمة المملكة، ويعكس غنى رصيدها الحضاري والأدبي، باعتبارها فضاءً للمعرفة والإبداع والحوار بين الثقافات.

My visit to Thailand reaffirmed the breadth of #UNESCO’s nearly eight-decade partnership with the country, and the shared ambition that continues to guide it. In Bangkok, a UNESCO Creative City of Design and UNESCO Learning City, I was deeply honoured to be received by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador since 2005. Her Royal Highness’s dedication to education and cultural diversity continues to inspire UNESCO’s work. I was grateful to meet Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and reaffirm UNESCO’s commitment to working hand in hand with Thailand across our mandate, from inclusive education to ethical artificial intelligence, culture, science and the environment. I also had the pleasure of meeting the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Education, Natural Resources and Environment, and Culture, to advance our shared priorities and turn them into concrete action and meaningful results. At Wat Pho, I saw culture in its most human form: memory, education and knowledge serving people every day. Its inscriptions, listed on UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register, and its role in transmitting Nuad Thai, traditional Thai massage, inscribed as Intangible Cultural Heritage, remind us that knowledge must remain alive and accessible to all. What inspired me most was meeting young people from across Asia and the Pacific at Chulalongkorn University. Their ideas were courageous, grounded and shaped by real experience. They are not waiting for transformation. They are already driving it. From the renewal of UNESCO’s partnership with the Equitable Education Fund to exchanges with the UN family, UNESCO colleagues and private sector leaders, this visit was about one goal: delivering lasting impact for people and communities. #ForThePeople

Today, I had the pleasure of welcoming the Co-Chairs of the @UN Global Dialogue on AI Governance — Ambassador Egriselda López of El Salvador and Ambassador Rein Tammsaar of Estonia — to UNESCO, as we advance preparations for the first Global Dialogue to be held this July in Geneva. UNESCO, together with the @ITU, is leading the coordination of the joint secretariat for the Dialogue, also including the Executive Office of the Secretary-General and @ODET_UN. At a time when AI is already transforming our economies and societies, our collective responsibility is clear: not only to harness its immense potential, but also to ensure that its benefits are shared equitably across all regions, while its risks are addressed through coordinated global action. @UNESCO will continue to lead these efforts — from setting global standards through its Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence, to supporting countries with AI readiness assessments, training judges and public servants, advancing AI competency frameworks in education, and mobilizing its global networks of scientists, journalists, educators and youth. #ForThePeople
