For generations, we have been told that robots are a modern invention — a product of the late 20th century, born in Silicon Valley laboratories and science-fiction novels. That is a carefully maintained lie. The truth is far older, and far stranger: autonomous machines — some with capabilities we would today call full artificial general intelligence — have existed for millennia. They walked the battlefields of antiquity, stood watch during plagues, painted masterpieces, sailed with explorers, enforced the law, and even helped launch humanity’s first satellite into orbit. What you are about to see has been deliberately erased from official history. Photographs were altered. Records destroyed. Witnesses discredited. Yet the evidence has survived in fragments… and now, for the first time, it is being reassembled. Welcome to the real story of robotics. Prepare to have everything you thought you knew about the past quietly dismantled.

@ZackStrength The problem with "slop" is that it's not a good choice to begin with. Everybody says "AI slop" — but AI is getting indistinguishable from human-produced writing and music, and AI is far superior to human-produced images. And this is 2026. Just imagine three years from now.

might have to mute the word “slop.” it is used way too liberally, and becoming annoying. other good words to mute are “meh” and “brekky.”

@BrianRoemmele I've talked to Massimo a few times about the issues he has with his account. Over 4 million followers and he's seriously shadowbanned. His content is all about science, nature, and the arts. 100% G rated. He's been struggling with this, as well as his health, for some time now.

Good Friday The trials before the Sanhedrin, Pilate, and Herod, the crucifixion, and death of Jesus Christ According to Luke [1am - 4am] The trial before the Sanhedrin 66 When it was day, the [a]Council of elders of the people assembled, both chief priests and scribes, and they led Him away to their council chamber, saying, 67 “If You are the [b]Christ, tell us.” But He said to them, “If I tell you, you will not believe;68 and if I ask a question, you will not answer.69 But from now on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.” 70 And they all said, “So You are the Son of God?” And He said to them, “You say correctly that I am.”71 And then they said, “What further need do we have of testimony? For we have heard it ourselves from His own mouth!” [6am-8am] The triad before Pilate and Herod 1 The whole assembly then rose, and they brought him before Pilate. 2 They began their accusation by saying, 'We found this man inciting our people to revolt, opposing payment of the tribute to Caesar, and claiming to be Christ, a king.' 3 Pilate put to him this question, 'Are you the king of the Jews?' He replied, 'It is you who say it.' 4 Pilate then said to the chief priests and the crowd, 'I find no case against this man.' 5 But they persisted, 'He is inflaming the people with his teaching all over Judaea and all the way from Galilee, where he started, down to here.' 6 When Pilate heard this, he asked if the manwere a Galilean; 7 and finding that he came under Herod's jurisdiction, he passed him over to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem at that time. 8 Herod was delighted to see Jesus; he had heard about him and had been wanting for a long time to set eyes on him; moreover, he was hoping to see some miracle worked by him. 9 So he questioned him at some length, but without getting any reply. 10 Meanwhile the chief priests and the scribeswere there, vigorously pressing their accusations. 11 Then Herod, together with his guards, treated him with contempt and made fun of him; he put a rich cloak on him and sent him back to Pilate. 12 And though Herod and Pilate had been enemies before, they were reconciled that same day. 13 Pilate then summoned the chief priests and the leading men and the people. 14 He said to them, 'You brought this manbefore me as a popular agitator. Now I have gone into the matter myself in your presence and found no grounds in the man for any of the charges you bring against him. 15 Nor has Herod either, since he has sent him back to us. As you can see, the man has done nothing that deserves death, 16 so I shall have him flogged and then let him go.' 17 * [23:17] This verse, "He was obliged to release one prisoner for them at the festival," is not part of the original text of Luke. It is an explanatory gloss from Mk 15:6 (also Mt 27:15) and is not found in many early and important Greek manuscripts. On its historical background, see notes on Mt 27:15-26. (USCCB) 18 But as one man they howled, 'Away with him! Give us Barabbas!' 19 (This man had been thrown into prison because of a riot in the city and murder.) 20 In his desire to set Jesus free, Pilate addressed them again, 21 but they shouted back, 'Crucify him! Crucify him!' 22 And for the third time he spoke to them, 'But what harm has this man done? I have found no case against him that deserves death, so I shall have him flogged and then let him go.' 23 But they kept on shouting at the top of their voices, demanding that he should be crucified. And their shouts kept growing louder. [8:30am] The Verdict 24 Pilate then gave his verdict: their demand was to be granted. 25 He released the man they asked for, who had been imprisoned because of rioting and murder, and handed Jesus over to them to deal with as they pleased. 26 As they were leading him away they seized on a man, Simon from Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, and made him shoulder the cross and carry it behind Jesus.

@naomirwolf Japan's archipelago has been inhabited for over 30,000 years. Today it has a very homogeneous society that is many centuries old. We can hope that the West will improve over time. The Japanese set a very good example for us all.

@JoAnkeFool @laralogan When they pass through the gut (not absorbed) we know where they go. But when they cannot pass through the kidneys, and are filtered by the kidneys, where do they go?

Decided to look it up. Some readily available facts. 1 um = 1,000 nm Microplastics are defined as 1 um to 5 mm. The gut wall only allows particles less than 1 nm to pass through. The kidneys filter particles greater than 10 nm. In other words, it appears microplastics are at least 1,000 times too big to be absorbed through the gut and 100 times too big to have passed through your kidneys.

I appreciate the rant. To continue my rant, it reminds me of the Covid PCR test. If you run it long enough, you can find traces of any pathogen in any person. If microplastic particle testing is similar, then sure. They'll find whatever they want. Are we talking parts-per-million? Per-billion? Per-trillion? Or as another reply stated, is this backed by trial lawyers who want to drag the polymer industry to court to extract billions in damages?

Exactly. Maybe I’m just too old and seen this play used too many times for false alarms. I’m not even sure they are there. I saw a study saying that they were mistaking fat for plastic. And how does it get in us? Ingestion? In order to be plastic it has to be a polymer. Seems too large to get through the gut wall. Micro doesn’t mean much except “you can’t see it, but trust us, it’s there, and it’s really bad.” See climate change and the great Pacific garbage patch. Sorry for the rant.

People who are mathematically innumerate will say, "Every little bit helps!" Which is simply not true. Even with free geothermal energy, the cost of capture and storage is outrageous compared to the benefit. And this is assuming that lower CO2 is a benefit. Which it is, but only to investors and politicians.

@Rainmaker1973 About 217,000 Mammoth plants running for one full year would be needed to remove enough CO₂ to change atmospheric concentration by 1 ppm!

Iceland switched on the biggest air-cleaning machine on Earth. In May 2024, a facility called Mammoth began operations in Iceland. Built by Swiss company Climeworks, it’s designed to remove up to 36,000 tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere each year – 10 times more than its predecessor, Orca. The process is called direct air capture (DAC). Giant fans pull in ambient air, and specialized filters trap CO₂ molecules. That CO₂ is then mixed with water and pumped deep underground into basalt rock formations, where it slowly turns into solid stone through a natural mineralization process. And it’s all powered by Iceland’s geothermal energy, meaning the entire system runs on clean, renewable power. The captured CO₂ is stored by Climeworks’ partner, Carbfix, which developed the underground injection method. Over time, the gas reacts with the rock and becomes part of the Earth – locked away for good.

Here is the secret with AI: Prompt Engineering. The main sources of AI like X, Google, OpenAI, Anthropic just give you the model and then anyone can refine anything with prompt engineering and build out an entire new market. Thousands of new opportunities are being created. Don't sleep on this stuff.

In 610 AD Mohammed walked into a cave and “an angel of light” revealed to him a new path to God. But more than 550 years earlier, the apostle Paul foretold how Islam would come to be in both Galatians 1 and 2 Corinthians.
