@iamrjknight Too many people worry about their reputation, that is what man thinks of you. We should always be more concerned with our character, that’s what God knows we are. He knows our hearts, no one else on earth can truly say that.

A man is what he is on his knees before God, and nothing more. Not what he appears to be before men. Not what he posts, preaches, teaches, argues, or displays in public. The true measure of a man is found in the secret place, where there is no audience, no applause, no reputation to protect, and no one to impress. Jesus warned us against a religion that performs before men but has little reality before God. “When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray… so that they may be seen by men” (Matthew 6:5). Public religion can be polished while the private soul is empty. The prayer closet strips away the costume. There, a man’s pride, fears, lusts, motives, unbelief, and weakness are laid bare before the Lord. He may look strong outside, but if he is prayerless before God, his strength is only appearance. “Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts” (Psalm 139:23). This is why secret prayer matters so deeply. A man who lives before the face of God learns humility. He learns dependence. He learns repentance. He learns that he is not sustained by gifts, knowledge, influence, or discipline, but by mercy. The man who is great before people but small before God is in danger. But the man who is low before God, even if unseen by the world, is safe. “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6).

@iamrjknight The book of Job shows us that even when you don’t hear, see, or feel the presence of the Lord, that it does not mean he is not behind the curtain fully in control of your situation. Who are we to question the creator?

God has not gone silent because there is no spectacle. His mercy is often seen in the ordinary places no camera notices, a tired family, an open Bible, unanswered prayers, quiet endurance, and grace that keeps holding them when life is heavy. The Spirit is still working, but not always where men build a stage. Read the full article. 👇🏻 buymeacoffee.com/iamrjknight/wh…

People who think that we can cut out the early chapters of Genesis and still have a Christian gospel are not merely making a small mistake. They are cutting at the roots of the very gospel they claim to preserve. Genesis is not optional background. It tells us who God is, who man is, why sin entered the world, why death reigns over man, why creation groans, why marriage matters, why judgment is just, and why a Saviour is necessary. If we remove Genesis, we do not get a deeper Christianity. We get a gospel without its foundation. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). That is where everything begins. God is Creator, man is creature, and all things belong to Him. Then Genesis 3 shows man’s fall, his guilt, his shame, his hiding, and God’s first promise of redemption. “He shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise him on the heel” (Genesis 3:15). Paul did not treat Genesis as disposable. He built the doctrine of sin and salvation upon it. “Through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin” (Romans 5:12). And again, “For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:22). If Adam, the fall, sin, and death are treated as symbols we can discard, then Paul’s explanation of Christ’s work is weakened at the root. Christ Himself went back to Genesis when He taught on marriage. “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female” (Matthew 19:4). Our Lord did not correct Genesis. He confirmed it. So no, we cannot cut out the early chapters of Genesis and still have the Christian gospel intact. Without creation, there is no Creator to whom we are accountable. Without the fall, there is no explanation for our ruin. Without the promise of the Seed, there is no first announcement of redemption. Without Adam, we cannot rightly understand Christ as the last Adam. The gospel does not begin in Matthew. It begins in Genesis, where God first exposes man’s ruin and announces the hope that will be fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

It is a heavy judgment when God leaves a man to his own lusts and withdraws the restraining guidance of His Holy Spirit. Many think judgment is only when God strikes, but Scripture shows something even more terrifying. God may give a man over to what he insists on loving. Romans 1 says this with fearful clarity. “Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity” (Romans 1:24). That is not freedom. That is judgment. When God lets the sinner have the sin he refuses to forsake, the soul is not being liberated. It is being handed over to its own ruin. This is why David cried with trembling, “Do not cast me away from Your presence and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me” (Psalm 51:11). He knew that the most frightening thing was not losing comfort, reputation, position, or earthly blessing. It was to be left without the nearness, conviction, correction, and mercy of God. A man abandoned to himself will not rise. He will sink. His desires will rule him, his conscience will grow dull, his sin will feel normal, and his heart will become harder. “My people did not listen to My voice… so I gave them over to the stubbornness of their heart, to walk in their own devices” (Psalm 81:11-12). So we must pray for mercy. Lord, do not leave us to ourselves. Do not give us what our sinful hearts demand. Restrain us, convict us, wound our pride, guide us by Your Spirit, and keep us near to Christ. Better to be corrected by God than abandoned to our own lusts.

I feel bad for my non-Catholic Christian family and friends who think Mary was just some random chick. She was chosen to be the new Ark. She was chosen to literally house God in the flesh. And the proof is clear that she is active in Heaven and here on earth, forever worshipping our Creator and praying for us.
