It's an election off-cycle and also Trump has calmed the country. Biden created total chaos, which got everyone interested in what was happening. Unfortunately this is bad for the ballot box. When times are good (or not as bad as under Biden), first-time voters stay home.

People are checked out of politics. Frozen yogurt is popular again. People are exhausted and yearning for love, romance, and adventure. They want things to be affordable. The insane polarization the media pushed this last decade is coming to an end.

@retneysholocron We all tend to stay in our echo chambers where everyone either loves or hates the sequel trilogy (and responds to the other side in fights)... but there's been a bunch of content set in that era. I agree... I really don't think they're ignoring it.

I wouldn't say they're ignoring the ST. We just had a Kylo Ren comic series (his second) a few months ago, and there is a Rey/Leia novel set between TLJ & TROS releasing in July.
LFL wanted to make the Ben Solo film. Supposedly they are still working on the Rey film. There isn't as much supplementary material for the ST as the PT had, but I think that's because LFL focused on the post-ROTJ tv shows, and were unsure what to do outside of comics and novels.

Still kinda blows my mind that Disney chooses to ignore the Sequels. I really don't care if you like them. These movies made BILLIONS and has an active and passionate fanbase. It's bizarre and exhausting that they keep pushing anything that has to do with the Sequels to the side.
