Hutchinson HS alum Myles Thompson has quite the story. Out of high school as a standout basketball and football player, he had zero Division I offers. He went to play at Barton Community College where he would lead them to a NJCAA National Championship last season. That led to a D1 basketball scholarship at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. In his first season with the program, he earned All-Tournament Team in the Ohio Valley Conference as his team punched their ticket to their first ever NCAA Tournament. Will be awesome to see Myles play in the big dance. While Myles may shine in basketball, he comes from a wrestling family with his grandpa Jody Thompson being in multiple hall of fames and was the Labette Community College highly successful wrestling coach from 1975 to 2003. His uncle Chas was also a head wrestling coach at FHSU and Pratt CC for multiple years. #sportsinkansas
