@RueNahcMohr I would say enough to fill a 48 port patch panel for short cables … two dozen 3-6fts. At least one 100ft cable because come day! And for you… you should have a roll of direct burial for the next crazy outdoor project

For someone who does a lot of technology stuff, How many ethernet cables does it seem reasonable to keep on hand?

I don’t even care if I win it’s just fun to hang out with folks who put some passion into learning how to build a robot

@JRBowling @orionrobots I have a robot that I build and then just rebuilt something on it, in a different way, every year. I compete with it in an autonomous robotics competition every year so it gives me a goal and a timeline to get what I can done.

@RDKLInc I have a rolling toolbox tucked away under my bench so the tools are arms length away; it’s in drawers but I don’t mind because I don’t have to get up to grab what I need.

My workspaces always devolve into something like this. Can anyone recommend some sort of organizer for small tools etc? Needs to be nearline storage and not tucked away inside drawers, that would be impractical

Do you pick 3d printing filament based on what you're making, because it was a pretty colour, because it was the best quality, or because it was cheap? Also what brand do you buy? #3dprinting

@kevsmac I think a Pi has a much lower entry barrier than an ESP32.
